Got a superhero itch you just can’t scratch? Try these games out!
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered
With Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered releasing for PC on 12th of August 2022, there isn’t that long to wait before being able to swing around New York City as the legendary webhead. But whilst you wait, why not check out these five titles to tide you over until then?
Batman: Arkham Collection
What’s better than one critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham game? Three of them! This collection will be more than enough to keep you occupied until Spidey hits PCs, with these outstanding adventures with the Caped Crusader lauded as some of the best superhero games ever. Not only that, but the story that connects the three is very well told, making this a rare instance of a trilogy that knocks it out of the park each time.

Just Cause 4 Complete Edition
Zipping around New York, taking on souped-up supervillains is one thing, but have you ever wanted to fly around as a one-man army, single-handedly bringing down a country's corrupt regime? Of course you have, which is why Just Cause 4 is a shining example of videogames that are so over-the-top yet still remain enjoyable.
Saints Row IV
Did I say Just Cause 4 was over-the-top? Well, this one has it beat hands down. After an alien invasion destroys Earth, you, the President of the United States, must bring down this evil empire by entering a virtual version of Saints Row: The Third’s Steelport City. Gone are the days of organised crime and dismantling rival gangs, Saints Row IV is all about unleashing your inner superhero and firing off ridiculous weapons in order to exact revenge on the Zin Empire! It’s absolutely bonkers, but an absolute blast.

Disney Infinity 2.0: Gold Edition
Toys-to-life games may have been a passing phase, but this version of Disney Infinity 2.0 includes every character made available (that you previously would have had to purchase separately as physical figures. Expensive!) and that includes Spider-Man. I was surprised at just how much enjoyment I got from this game, and whilst the Playsets were great to play through, I spent most of my time just creating my own worlds in Toybox mode.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2
If Disney Infinity 2.0: Gold Edition had an impressive variety of characters, then wait until you see LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2! With over 190 different characters to choose from and an absolutely huge world to explore containing secrets and unlockables around every corner, this will be a game that sees you through to the 12th of August and beyond!
LEGO® Marvel Super Heroes 2 - Standard Edition
Those were just five games I’d recommend trying whilst waiting for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, from the ever-serious Batman, all the way to the cutesy charm of Disney!
