5 Things I Can’t Wait To See in Hogwarts Legacy

I solemnly swear that I am up to no good

Hogwarts Legacy
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is full of wondrous places and interesting characters, and with the open-world title Hogwarts Legacy set for release this year, it got me thinking: what am I looking forward to seeing in the game? Here are just five things I can’t wait to see in Hogwarts Legacy!
1 - The Forbidden Forest
The Forbidden Forest is a ludicrous area to have in a school full of curious witches and wizards. Home to a menagerie of creatures (not all of them peaceful!), this could be an area full of magical beings that we’ve yet to see in the books or films, letting the developers get really creative! Maybe we can interact with some (hopefully friendly) centaurs, or the ghostly Hinkypunk; only time will tell.
2 - Peeves the Poltergeist

A notoriously troublesome spirit, Peeves is a constant source of entertainment in the books. The fact that he’s a poltergeist and can show up at a moment's notice had me thinking: what if a system similar to the “Majima Everywhere” one found in Yakuza Kiwami was a feature? This would see you battling Peeves, or beating him in various minigames at any point as you explore the open world, with the mischievous spectre appearing out of nowhere to challenge you. Regardless of this imaginary concept, I’m quite looking forward to seeing what Peeves’ role in the game will be!
3 - The Room of Requirement
A room that only appears to students who truly need its service, granting them a fully furnished area stocked with whatever they need, the Room of Requirement within the game will work as a sort of home base for the protagonist. Growing your own plants to use in potions, raising your own magical beasts, and a portal that transports you to a mysterious house that you can customise are what we’ve seen so far, but I’m really excited to find out what other secrets the Room of Requirement has for us to discover!
4 - The Classes

I very rarely paid attention in school. If my classes included subjects such as Defence Against the Dark Arts or Charms, however, things would have been different. Attending classes will be part of Hogwarts Legacy, and remembering how they played in other Harry Potter games, these fun activities provide new spells or abilities, or even puzzle-themed dungeons to explore! If you have the option to select which classes you attend, then this potentially adds a lot of replayability.
5 - New Characters
With Hogwarts Legacy being set in the late 1800s, the game will feature a full cast of new characters (aside from some familiar ghosts!). This gives the developers free rein to create some hopefully memorable new faces. We may even see Albus Dumbledore as a student, as he was attending the school as a student around this time. I for one would love the chance to interact with a young Dumbledore!
