7 Potions I Hope to See in Hogwarts Legacy for Missions

I am incredibly excited to try my hand at the wizarding world with Hogwarts Legacy, but I would be lying if I said potions aren't one of my main interests. Whilst casting magic is pretty great, I absolutely love the effort that goes into making potions: collecting ingredients, mixing them properly, and then brewing!

To honour the excitement for the game (and the potions!) I bring to you the top seven potions (in no particular order) I hope to see in Hogwarts Legacy for missions and quests!

Disclaimer: whilst some of these might get you really excited about the game, we do caution you against placing high expectations! Let's not forget that — at the end of the day — this is a videogame that needs a budget and comes with limitations. This article is just for fun! Let's be nice to game developers.

Ageing Potion

As a fan of BBC's Merlin, I can't help but think of Dragoon with this potion! Ageing up would be a phenomenal way to get to finish some quests, whether it be because you need to be an adult (or elderly) to enter a certain area or for disguising; it sounds like a pretty nifty potion to have!

Invisibility Potion

Although becoming invisible isn't super innovative like becoming much older, I still love the idea of sneaking around unseen, and I would feel much safer doing so through a potion than a cloak! No risk of people stepping on it or it brushing against others without you realising it. Not to mention how much I look forward to brewing it (if it's in-game, that is)!

Memory Potion

I think this would be another great addition to quests and missions; it's innovative, and it sounds fun! Perhaps having to make one of these in order to solve a complex puzzle or even a sillier mission, such as having to ace a test after not sleeping well the night before due to mischief!

Mopsus Potion

A phenomenal way to use the Mopsus Potion — which gives you seer-like abilities — would be during a more intense questline! One where you'll need to sneak in the ingredients, brew the potion in secret, and then use it to look to the future in order to avoid catastrophe.

Polyjuice Potion

The Polyjuice Potion works both as a great mechanic for missions and a silly one for goofing off! Much like Harry and Ron had to turn into Crabbe and Goyle, I hope I'll need to turn into an archnemesis to get some information, too!

Baruffio's Brain Elixir

A great way to incorporate potion brewing into gameplay could be brewing Baruffio's Brain Elixir — which enhances the drinker's brain power — for experience points!

Shrinking Solution

Last but definitely not least, fewer mechanics in games are as fun as shrinking and sneaking into tiny areas! The Shrinking Solution sounds perfect for just that. And just like the Polyjuice Potion, I think this one's great fun, too!

Those are all the potions I hope are in-game! And if you can't wait to start brewing too, consider getting Hogwarts Legacy's Deluxe edition pre-order, which has 72-hour early access to the game!
