Patience, youngling. The crossover between the entire Star Wars saga and LEGO won’t be releasing this Spring
There’s been a disturbance in the Force with TT Games announcing that the highly-anticipated LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga’s release is being delayed.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Thanks to all our fans for your continued patience. <a href="https://t.co/tCDV9Ikftd">pic.twitter.com/tCDV9Ikftd</a></p>— TT Games (@TTGames) <a href="https://twitter.com/TTGames/status/1377984167233744899?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 2, 2021</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Initially, due to release in Spring 2021, there’s no date on when we’ll be able to take control of Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker and the colorful Star Wars cast for more brick-filled adventures. However, the developers are promising as soon as possible, we just hope that the Empire won't complete their Death Star construction before then!
What is LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga?
The popular LEGO games have taken on some massive franchises, including Harry Potter, MARVEL, and, of course, STAR WARS. Each game brings a unique take of slapstick comedy, gags, and charm to a well-known title that both adults and children alike love to play.
The Skywalker Saga is a revisit of the first seven Star Wars films for the LEGO series, but remade from the ground up! Whilst the classic adaption of the first six films in two sets were hugely popular in the early 00s, The Skywalker Saga is bringing a new engine, real voice acting, additional mechanics, and more humor in a brand-new take on these films. Whilst also tackling the sequel series in its entirety for the first time!
Unlike the previous games, the levels do not have to be completed in linear order with the hub being an open-world, which can lead to random encounters based on the current period that you are playing in.
If this isn’t enough Star Wars for you, then there are roughly 300 characters to collect and play as, with 500 non-playable characters also in the game. Go on, try and name all 800, we bet you can't!
