Meet some of the classes you can try on Elden Ring
ELDEN RING
Gamers everywhere are excited for Elden Ring, an eagerly awaited collaboration between Hidetaka Miyazaki (Dark Souls III) and George R. R. Martin (Game of Thrones). A third-person action RPG set in a dark fantasy world with the harsh difficulty Dark Souls fans crave, Elden Ring is bound to be a game for the ages.
Players can play as one of several classes in the game. Depending on who you choose, your starting equipment and stats will vary. Let’s take a look at some of who you can choose to play as in Elden Ring.
I Need a Hero
If you’re more of a fighter than a lover, you might want to start with the Hero class. Armed with a Battle Axe and a load of Vigor (an HP boosting stat), you can have a fair shake of things. If you choose Warrior, you can dual wield Scimitars right off the bat. Not too shabby!
Those who prefer swords will enjoy the Vagabond. Armed with both a Longsword and a Halberd, The Vagabond is good for experienced players who know their way around a weapon. Those preferring a bow and arrow to go with their swordplay will love the nimbleness as a Samurai.
Not the Classiest
Those wanting to scoot the best loot from the beginning will enjoy the wiles of being a Bandit. Masks enthusiasts will enjoy exploring as the Prisoner, a class with an iron mask and other quirky starting equipment.
Just a Kind of Magic
Others who prefer a spellbound life will love playing as a Confessor with their high Faith stats. Another good magic-based class is the Prophet with its Heal and Catch Fame incantations at the ready.
The Astrologer is for those who can’t make up their mind. Starting the game with a short sword, staff, and spells, the Astrologer gives you the freedom of choice.
A Wretch Like Me
For those wanting the ultimate role-playing experience, you can start your quest as a Wretch. Starting at the lowest experience level, the Wretch has identical stats across the board.
While Wretches start out weaker, they also grant the player the freedom to truly develop their character’s stats from the beginning in any way they choose. It’s a harder, longer road, but getting to play a Wretch is the hard core way to play through Elden Ring.
