What's more dangerous than Agent 47... another Agent 47!
Warner Bros and IO Interactive have announced that HITMAN 2 will feature a brand-new online multiplayer mode called Ghost Mode. Two players will compete against each other, both as Agent 47, with the objective of assassinating the most targets in a match.
At the start of each round, both players begin side-by-side and must race to take out the same targets faster and cleaner than their opponent, while utilizing weapons, items, outfits and ghost crate supply drops along the way to help accomplish the overall mission.
Players will see a “ghost” version of their rival gamer to track progress against their own, but don't worry about bumping into each other as you exist in separate reality, unaffected by the actions of your adversary. Players need to outsmart, outplay and outkill their opponent by eliminating five targets first to win.
Ghost Mode is one of many new features arriving in the latest game of the HITMAN franchise, alongside another online multiplayer mode called Sniper Assassin, which IO Interactive talked about in a recent interview with Fanatical.
