Little Nightmares II mask & hat locations - Where to find them

Mono's perilous journey through the Pale City is one of many challenges, eerie encounters and intriguing puzzles in Little Nightmares II.

The sequel in Tarsier Studios and Bandai Namco's dark adventure puzzle series sees the new protagonist, and returning protagonist-now-NPC Six, venture into the deep dark city in search of clues as to why its residents have become brainwashed TV addicts - and, as expected, a new batch of creepy enemies have arrived to make your adventure more intense than ever before.

As you travel through the five chapters, you'll come across some unique opportunities to unlock achievements and find hidden items, including cool masks and hats for Mono to wear. If you're keen on finding them all on your first playthrough, or if you're revisiting chapters for that '100% completion' feeling, we've complied a handy guide of where and how you can find these masks and hats in the game.

Mokujin Mask

When can it be found: N/A

How: The Mokujin Mask was available as a pre-order bonus, and will most likely need to be purchased separately post-launch!

Paper Bag

Paper Bag

When can it be found: Chapter One/Game start (The Wilderness)

How: Well, this is quite a simple find... you start with it on your head!

No need to start looking in all those dark corners, the trusted Paper Bag will begin Mono's journey with him.

Coonskin Cap

Coonskin Cap

When can it be found: Chapter One (The Wilderness)

How: When entering the Hunter's house, head through the kitchen (psst... open the fridge first to unlock an achievement) and head right down the corridor, then take another right and head into a small room.

Nomes' Hat

Nomes' Hat

When can it be found: Chapter One* (The Wilderness)

How: The Nomes Hat can be found during the Nome's Attic DLC. While in the attic retrieving the key for the door downstairs, a Nome will scuttle past you - prompting you to follow it up into an additional level of the attic.

Chase the Nome around various items in the upper level of the attic, and it'll escape through a small vent on the right hand side of the room, which is initially hidden behind a painting.

Bear in mind that the Nome won't appear unless you own and have installed the Nome's Attic DLC, which is available with the Deluxe Edition of Little Nightmares II.

Tourist Panama

Tourist Panama

When can it be found: Chapter One (The Wilderness)

How: The Tourist Panama is hanging around in a cage just after the section where you and Six must traverse across a broken bridge. Climb up the pile of cages to the right of the hanging cage, next to the tree, and jump onto the hanging cage from the side.

Climb on top of the hanging cage and jump 4-5 times, this will then cause the cage to drop on the floor, which will then break and allow you to retrieve the hat.

Ripped Ball

Ripped Ball

When can it be found: Chapter Two (School)

How: Before heading into the School, the Ripped Ball mask is located in the dumpster next the main entrance and stairs. It's also worth noting that one of the Glitching Remains can be found up in the top right corner of the courtyard too!

Tin can

Tin can

When can it be found: Chapter Two (School)

How: The Tin Can mask can be found in the School Library. You'll need to move the ladder along to the middle/second bookshelf in order to obtain it.

Once you've climbed up the ladder, the mask can be found on the left hand side of the shelf.

Teddy bear's Head

Teddy bear's Head

When can it be found: Chapter Three (Hospital)

How: Well... it's not cute or cuddly, but if you fancy wearing a sad looking Teddy bear mask, you can find it in the playroom during the Hospital chapter. Head past the lower level elevator and through the X-Ray room to the right - here, you'll need to climb up the shelf on the far right of the room.

Mummy Wrappings

Mummy Wrappings

When can it be found: Chapter Three (Hospital)

How: Ready for the next creepy location? It's time to head down into the morgue!

Once Six has helped you pass through the shelving units, head over to the left hand side of the table and open the bottom unit door. Here, you'll find the Mummy Wrappings mask, and thankfully no jump scare corpses!

Postman Cap

Postman Cap

When can it be found: Chapter Four (Pale City)

How: After finding your magic TV remote, which allows Mono to transport through any static/powered TV. You'll find yourself in a mail room... how ironic!

The obvious path is to jump down and follow a small vent on the right hand side, but be sure to jump down and go left first, as the small vent on this side contains the Postman Cap.

Gatsby Cap

Gatsby Cap

When can it be found: Chapter Four (Pale City)

How: After passing the alleyway with all of those freaky, TV addicted citizens, you'll enter a grocery store via a window.

Run around the shelf into the top right hand corner of the room and you'll see a shopping cart, you'll need to move this cart back over to the left hand side of the room near the original shelving unit that you walked past. Jump up on the cart to then jump onto the top of the shelf, and follow the path around to the far left corner where you'll see the Gatsby Cap on top of some parcels.
