Monster Hunter World: Iceborne - DLC
Gamers looking forward to hunting down the 'Blazing Black Dragon' in Capcom's fourth free title update for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne have been left frustrated as that stupid COVID-19 pandemic has yet again caused havoc in the game industry.
The update for the action RPG's critically-acclaimed expansion, due to land in May, was set to bring back Third Generation monster Alatreon - an unstable and powerful Elder Dragon capable of harnessing Dragon, Thunder, Fire and Ice elements. But, due to the coronavirus causing 'impacts on production', the developer & publisher has made the decision to postpone the new title update until further notice.
As a result of the delays, Capcom has edited its Iceborne roadmap, which now states that the fourth title update is 'TBD' - however, the existing May 2020 content planned looks set to go ahead including the Arch-Tempered Namielle Limited Tim Event Quest, as well as Event Quests which will grant you High Tier Decorations and High Grade Armor Spheres.
Capcom also confirmed that it will "extend the availability of most of the #MHWorld & #Iceborne Event Quests for the foreseeable future".
In a statement on the official Monster Hunter Twitter page, the developer said: "Attention Hunters, we have an important message about the development of future Title Updates for #Iceborne. Unfortunately, coronavirus (COVID-19) related impacts on production have made it necessary to postpone the release of the fourth title update Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.
"Voice over production for the Italian, Spanish and French language versions have also been affected, and will be replaced with simplified recordings. We would like to apologize to all of our fans eagerly awaiting Alatreon's arrival in the New World, and will provide updates once we have new information to share.
"Thank you very much for your continued support and patience. From all the development team at Capcom - happy hunting and stay safe!"

Despite the frustrations, it appears that MHW fans are supportive of Capcom's decision.
Japanese YouTuber and well-known Monster Hunter content creator Gaijihunter (@aevanko) tweeted: "Good things come to those that wait. While disappointing for us, it’s probably even more disappointing for the dev team, and their health is more important than anything so #IamOKwithThis Stay safe, team!"
Duane Mills (@DuaneM07) added: "Stay safe! The teams health is top priority! Just means my hype will last that bit longer"
