Pumpkins, Palicoes and major updates for Capcom's huge action RPG
MONSTER HUNTER: WORLD
PC gamers looking for an early Halloween treat will be able to grab some free goodies during Monster Hunter: World's Autumn Festival, which arrives very soon.
The latest update for Capcom's hugely successful action RPG will see pumpkins and autumn colors scattered across Astera's Gathering Hub - as well as new missions, food, weapons and armor for Hunters and their Palicoes to dress for the occasion. The console version of the update is coming to a close, but PC gamers will get to access the update from Thursday, October 4 at 12am UTC.
Big updates
Capcom has stated on the Monster Hunter: Wold Steam Community page that the Autumn Harvest Fest will debut on Steam this Friday (October 5th) at 12am UTC, and end on Thursday October 18th at 11:59pm UTC. The Celestial Pursuit bedecked with decorations, and the staff darted around the Gathering Hub will be dressed in their best autumn fashion.
During the Autumn Harvest Fest period, new exclusive quests will be made available, as well as almost all of the Event Quests held in the past. Hunters will also get special Login Bonuses and Limited Bounties for playing during this period. One update that players will be pleased to hear of is the 'free character edit voucher' which allows you to edit your character for free - this ranges from editing their gender and appearance.
New gestures, Handler costumes, sticker sets, and hairstyles will also be available for purchase on the Steam store.
Additional updates
Additional updates and bug fixes include:
- Various player-related fixes for weapon actions, specialized tools, skills, items, and the in-game camera
- Measures to reduce load on matchmaking servers
- Fixes for translations and foreign language display
- Other minor fixes
Important note from Capcom: The latest version of MONSTER HUNTER: WORLD, as of October 3rd 2018, is revision number 154553. You can verify the version number in the top-left corner when you launch the game in windowed mode. Players can only match with other players who have the same update version.
