My Favourite Things From The Hogwarts Legacy Showcases

What to look forward to most judging by the showcases.
Hogwarts Legacy
Hogwarts Legacy’s release date is fast approaching. To prepare myself for the upcoming Harry Potter RPG, I thought I’d talk about some of my favourite things from Avalanche Software’s two Hogwarts Legacy showcases.
Exploring Hogwarts and Hogsmeade
One feature of Hogwarts Legacy that I’m looking forward to is the ability to explore Hogwarts and Hogsmeade. Many fans have always wanted to explore the halls, and now we’ll finally have the chance. This will be the perfect opportunity to explore the common rooms of not only Gryffindor and Slytherin houses, but we’ll also be able to delve into the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff common rooms too.
To encourage exploration, you will get points via the field guide when you find something new. I can’t wait to see what shops I can explore in Hogsmeade, and the wide range of villagers I’ll meet.
Dark Arts Combat Arena
While the Dark Arts combat arena has been controversial to many fans, I can’t help but look forward to this DLC. It’s essentially an underground fight club for dark wizards. Although I would love it if they incorporated a morality system here, I can understand why they won’t have it influence the story.
This makes it an ideal playground for any Hogwarts Legacy player who wants to portray a more villainous character. It offers more competitive battles with dark wizards and mountain trolls, where you’re in a perfect environment to let loose. Sure, you can use Unforgivable Curses, but they’ve established that you can’t just use them all the time. After all, they’re powerful spells, so you’ll need to recharge first.
Care of Magical Creatures
The films didn’t explore magical creatures as much as I would have liked, even if we include the Fantastic Beasts series. So, I’m looking forward to looking after different creatures such as Kneazles, Nifflers, and so much more. The game will allow you to adopt them and care for them, so I’m excited to pet everything that I can name. Did I mention you can name them whatever you want too?
Hogwarts Legacy Digital Deluxe Edition
These are some of my favourite aspects of Hogwarts Legacy which have been revealed in each showcase. If you’re looking forward to it, consider purchasing the Deluxe Edition, featuring a 72-hour early access, allowing you to play on the 7th of February! Otherwise, you’ll be able to play it on the 10th of February on PC when it will also be available for PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users can expect a release on the 4th of April, and the Nintendo Switch on the 25th of July. So if you’re excited, we have it available for pre-order here at Fanatical.
