Capcom, friends & family and the gaming community have paid tribute to a talented actor who sadly died recently after an eight-month battle with colon cancer.

Jeanette Maus, whose provided her voice acting talent to the upcoming Resident Evil Village game launching in May, died on Sunday (January 24th), she was just 39-years-old. A GoFundMe page had been set up, called 'Help Jeanette Kick Cancer's Ass' which was helping to pay for medical bills - with people still donating to the page as we speak, taking the total to over $53k.

Her latest role working in the game industry was bringing the 'witches' to life in Capcom's upcoming survival horror game.

A statement on social media from Jeanette's fiancé, Dusty Warren, read: “It is with a shattered-yet grateful-heart that I inform you that Jeanette Maus passed away late last night [Sunday] due to complications of cancer.

"I'm really sad, but I’m super proud of her. She fought so hard, with tremendous grace and optimism, inspiring myself and I’m sure many of you."

Jeanette, who also suffered from Crohn's Disease, had enjoyed success in a number of movie roles including Your Sister's Sister and, more recently, Charm City Kings.
