We look at how the beta for the first-person action co-op game has been received
This week sees the arrival of Warhammer: Vermintide II, the chaotic first-person action sequel of Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide, and Steam PC players have been enjoying the latest beta ahead of the game's release.
A band of brave heroes return to fight the Skaven hordes seen in the first installment, still set within the iconic Warhammer Fantasy world, but a new enemy - the Chaos army - has joined the conflict. Players will witness an onslaught on rodent-like creatures and barbaric Chaos warriors who have united in an attempt to rid their world of any good, for good.
With 15 different heroes to choose from and yet more glorious, brutal weapons to wield, you and fellow players will need to work co-operatively to ensure that you live to fight another day. With a skill tree system, improved loot system and new Heroic Deeds System, heroes will be rewarded with weapons, armor and crafting materials in a whole new way – whilst also dramatically altering enemy composition, level settings, weapon usage and mission objectives.
A number of betas have taken place in February and the beginning of March to give people a glimpse of what to expect come Thursday, as well as provide Fatshark with vital feedback on any potential bugs or recommendations.

It's fair to say that a vast majority of gamers who have taken part in the betas held so far have been impressed by what they've seen - which is promising for Fatshark as the game launches on Steam PC and console very soon!
