If you’ve been craving more Assassins Creed, then wait no more.
Dawn Of Ragnarök launches today and it’s sure to leave a massive mark on the world post-Asgard. This is the fourth expansion for Assassins Creed Valhalla, after Wrath of The Druids, The Siege Of Paris and the crossover storylines between Assassins Creed Odyssey and Assassins Creed Valhalla, so lets dig into what you can expect from this!
Arrival Of The Gods
In the Dawn Of Ragnarök DLC for Assassins Creed Valhalla, Eivor witnesses Havi’s memories of the earliest days of Norse mythology. In the face of the end of the world, Havi is searching for his son, Baldur, who’s been kidnapped and imprisoned in the land of the dwarves. You’ll be fighting against Surtur and the fearsome ice giants of Jotunheim in your quest, so make sure you’ve got your best levelled equipment and you’re all set to take on these foes.
You’re able to rip the powers out of your enemies using a new ability, meaning you can change up your build on the fly. One minute you’re playing as an offensive based Havi, the next you’re playing as a more stealth-orientated build. It’s up to you to play it smartly though, since you can only store up to two abilities at once.
Hot and Cold
Taking inspiration from various Norse sagas, it’s supposedly 35 hours long and is one third the size of England in AC: Valhalla. You’ll be able to jump into it at any time in the narrative of the main game, meaning really anybody can enjoy this expansion. You’ll have new powers, both elemental and supernatural, at your disposal, allowing you to take on your enemies with renewed vigor.
Havi will be able to command the natural elements of fire and ice, both scalding and freezing his enemies at will. In addition, you’ll be able to shapeshift, creating unique stealth scenarios that will confuse even the most vigilant of foes. It’s a whole new aspect to the combat, something that players of the game haven’t seen before and something that’ll come in handy against the ice and fire themed enemies found within the expansion.
