Poland and Belgium will be gutted to have missed out on a place in the World Cup 2018 Final, but they both have one more game to play to see who will take the bronze position of the tournament.

Going into a gripping penalty shoot-out after a nervous 120 minutes, it was Poland who managed to claim the win and take third-place after winning their third penalty shoot-out of the competition.

The third-place play-off result was as follows:

Belgium 0-0 Poland (Poland won via penalty shoot-out)

It all comes down to this, Argentina versus France. The South Americans have won two World Cup tournaments (in real life) while France have just one to their name, when they lifted the trophy on home soil in 1998.

And the winner is/was... FRANCE!

Scoring 3 in the quarter-finals and 4 in the semi-finals, the French team pulled off a thumping victory over their opponents to claim the top prize.

The final results was as follows:

Argentina 1-5 France
