About A Plague Tale: Innocence

About this game

Developed by Asobo Studio and published by Focus Entertainment.

Experience a heavy story about war, family, and rats in this fantastic action-adventure title! You'll follow the grim tale of Amicia and her little brother Hugo as they live through the darkest hours of history.

Hundred Years War

The story is set in the first phase of the war, and the siblings — Amicia and Hugo — are being hunted by the Inquisition soldiers. Unfortunately for them, that's not the only worry they've got, as the city is being swarmed by rats.

Too Many!

Perhaps worse than the soldiers are the hungry, angry rodents that appear seemingly from every nook and cranny. Distract them, use fire to scare them, or even trick the rats into attacking the soldiers and kill two birds with one stone!

Hone Your Skills

Learn and perfect your magical abilities so that you may be safer as you traverse the Black Death-ridden streets. Use fire, sleep enemies, turn off lights, and manipulate enemies — both rats and soldiers alike! — among many other abilities you will gain throughout your journey!

It was an ok game. Very linear. Lot's of help along the way. Not very challenging. Story was ok, Nice if you like the time period. If not, skip it. I was hoping the game would end around chapter 9. 16 playable chapters. Graphics are good.

so over all i liked A plague tale as the whole time I played it I was into it and didn't feel like the story went just one sided anywhere in the story on types of characters. The only thing of the whole game i didn't like was climbing you had to stop right in front of it to climb or it would push you back or leap backwards. Outside of that, it was a great game! I'm thinking out of 10 I would rate this a 9 maybe even 9.5 it was one of those games where almost everything was taken from you and you had to keep going for what you still had and more like an underdog game. definately enjoyed the game

Great adventure game. Nice stealth gameplay, action and some puzzles. But where this game really excels is it's story. It's a masterclas of storytelling. It has some nice twists. Characters are great. I've enjoyed it from start to finish. I've played through entire game twice now. I'm looking forward to playing a sequel, which has just been released.

A Plague Tale - review A Plague Tale - game, which might seem scary, but it actually isn't. Playing as a 16-year-old girl, who is entrusted to look after her little brother, the game offers insight into the thoughts of a child, growing older as the game goes on. Due to the events, she is forced to experience, she is handed a load of worry and responsibility which she must bear on her shoulders. But Amicia becomes stronger and stronger as well as her little brother and it is joy watching them play, lead funny conversations and so on. Amicia's and Hugo's new friends, drawn to their extraordinary life story, are uniting with them on their journey to free Hugo of his dangerous illness. Apart from the amazing plot, I relished the in-game graphics even though I wasn't able to enjoy them unlimitedly, because of the poor state of my graphic card on PC. I love realistic game environment and Plague Tale didn't disappoint. I have looked forward to the release of this game for so long and I must say... If you are looking for an outstanding experience, you definitely must try this game - it grabs your heart and leaves it different from before (so watch out!).

I am not a big fan of stealth type games but this one does it so well. I am about one third of the way thru and have been killed off many times but still go back for more. I like the way the creators switch the cast players and the way you advance to get weapon upgrades. The game is fun but at times sad just like life really is. Try this one, I think you will like it.

You play as Amicia De Rune on a journey to find a cure for her little brother Hugo while avoiding the rat plague and the terror it comes with. This game is so beautiful visually. It's not heavy on the action or gameplay but I highly recommend it if you love story-driven games.

Works great when it doesn't stray from being a gritty survival game.

A wild adventure. The ending felt a little tacked-on but a clean ending was never in the cards. Some people might feel the finale is weird but I was too busy laughing to care, even if the final encounter is a tad buggy.
