Save the lands of Ashmyr
War for supremacy raged on for generations between the different tribes of Ashmyr. Until one day, an ancient force was unleashed that shook the world and granted those nearby immense power. But this power came at a high cost. It took their minds and corrupted their bodies, leaving only a ruthless fiend in their place.
They became known as the Ilcyon, slaughtering armies and obliterating towns as they ravaged the lands, leaving Ashmyr in peril.
Until a new path to hope was formed by a lone warrior. He united the tribes for the sake of survival against the Ilcyon and began a new order, The Bound. Only those proven through years of harsh training were initiated.

+ everything else can be ignored
+/- equipment/upgrades - you get loot from bosses, but you have to be lucky to get the drops needed to be able too craft your item. Or grind the same boss over and over again. There were some interesting item set bonuses, but without grind it's impossible to get them
- restrictive combat - four corners you can stand on, light attack, heavy attack, block, dodge/parry/reflect and potion
- very short (unless you want to fight the more powerful versions of the bosses (more health and attacks that can easily one-shot you)

Bound By Blades is a monster hunting game and has 10 bosses for the beginning and 10 for the end game. You can play 3 different characters and you can team up with a second player to complete the challenges. You'll make equipment to get stronger and defeat bosses.
One of the game's biggest problems is that it doesn't have much content, but it has enough to keep you busy for a long time.
If you like boss fights, making equipment and learning their patterns, you'll enjoy this game.

I didn't expect much of this game and was surprised. It focusses on boss battles, so if you like the pattern learning about boss fights this game is for you. The setting and art design are cute and beautiful, it gives me a positive vibe and good mood whenever I play it. It also has a nice crafting aspect to it. For a few bucks it is a great game for in between other games, every battle takes only 1-3 mins. I'm playing it on my Steam Deck and for that it's a perfect game for me right now.
