About Castlevania Advance Collection

About this game

Developed and published by Konami Digital Entertainment.

In this collection, you'll be able to experience multiple timeless classics! Aside from the three Castlevania games released in the early 2000s, you'll also find Castlevania: Dracula X! All the titles are modernised for maximum fun through numerous new features, such as the rewind, save/load, and replay. The Castlevania Advanced Collection is phenomenal for both fans and newcomers!

This collection features the following games:

Castlevania: Circle of the Moon

In this entry to the Castlevania series, you'll take on the shoes of Nathan Graves — a vampire hunter apprentice who, along with his master, enters Dracula's Castle to prevent his dreaded return.

Create over 80 unique spell effects by combining action and attribute cards! The abilities range from fire whips to ice blizzards.

Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance

Play as the grandson of the legendary Vampire Hunter, Simon Belmont! Aside from being able to control Juste Belmont, you'll also meet many new features to the franchise, such as the Boss Rush mode and the Spell Fusion system, which allows you to combine Sub-Weapons with Spell Books.

Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow

It seems that Soma Cruz — a young high school exchange student in Japan — is involved in the eternal cycle of reincarnation of the Dark Lord. In this entry to the series, you'll explore what role he plays and if he'll be able to return to his own world!

Experience a brand-new attack system called Tactical Souls, where you'll be able to capture the souls of slain enemies as Soma, to then acquire their abilities! There are over 100 in total. And if you want even more of the title when you finish it, go ahead and jump into its New Game+ content!

Castlevania: Dracula X

Castlevania: Rondo of Blood has been acclaimed as one of the most challenging entries to the series yet, and Dracula X is a reimagination of it! The Dark Lord Count Dracula has risen from the dead yet again to raise his army and annihilate the world. You'll take on the role of Richter Belmont — the heir of the Belmont family, you'll need to enter Dracula's Castle and defeat him.

Improvements

All the titles in this collection have been upgraded to better fit the modern standard of gaming. Aside from the quality of life features, there are also some that add more for the fans.

"A very narrow selection of games, from a format that does not work well on modern TVs, but Aria Of Sorrow in particular stands out as one of the best Castlevania games ever made."

It's a port of the original Castlevania Game Boy Advance games. They're all rather solid, but between them there is Aria of Sorrow which I do consider the best game in the entire series and the port is perfect. Highly recommended.

Aria of Sorrow is one of the best Castlevania games. Not one of the hard ones, but just fun. And if you do find it tough, now you can rewind a few seconds! Haven't tried the others yet, but it's worth it just for Aria.

Four Castlevania games from the Gameboy Advance era make their way onto new platforms. While they are emulated, the emulation is done pretty well with no slowdowns that don't already exist in the original versions. Screen size and controls are good, although using a controller is highly recommended. Preferably one with a good D-Pad. The included games are a lot of fun; they all have slightly different "themes" so to speak but they all offer genuine Metroidvania experiences that will keep you entertained for many hours in total. Three of the four games take between 7 and 10 hours to play from start to finish; more if you want to collect everything. Well worth the price.

Great collection of 4 incredible games. Ports are done by M2, so the emulation is on point, and the music from GBA games has been cleaned up to sound better than it ever did on hardware. The games themselves still hold up really well. Aria of Sorrow alone is worth the asking price, definitely pick it up if you haven't played it yet!

An excellent collection of Castlevania Games

This is an excellent collection of Castlevania games. If only it had Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood. The games it does have are really good though. My favourite in the collection is Dracula X.
