Company of Heroes 2: The British Forces is a standalone multiplayer expansion of the acclaimed World War II real-time strategy game, Company of Heroes 2. This expansion serves as an entry point into the game's vibrant community. The British Forces allows players, even those who don't own Company of Heroes 2, to access all pre-existing maps in auto-match, play against all factions in multiplayer, and pit their skills against the AI in skirmishes.
Unique Features and Gameplay Mechanics
The British Forces expansion introduces a new faction, the Britons, with their distinctive tactical gameplay options. The player's challenge lies in managing a unique tech-tree which balances mobility and defence. Other features include new infantry, vehicles, upgrades, commanders with unique abilities, and eight new multiplayer maps replicating historic battles. The faction boasts 15 unique units, from the Churchill Crocodile flamethrower tank to the RAF glider, and the commanders' abilities are centred around staged events involving air raids and artillery.
Enhanced Authenticity and Immersive Experience
The expansion delivers an enhanced level of authenticity with motion-captured data for the most common animation sets, which also enhance all previously released Company of Heroes 2 armies. The units are brought to life by an international cast of actors from England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, and New-Zealand, providing a broad range of accents from the UK's diverse regions. Additionally, the expansion includes eight new stunning maps and offers intense online combat, immersing players in the ferocity of frontline strategic warfare.
