About Content Warning

About this game

Get famous or die trying! Content Warning is a co-op horror game where you film spooky stuff with your friends to try and go viral.

Squad up, customize your face with the ASCII face customiser, buy some gear and use the diving bell to go down to the Old World!

Down there you’ll encounter scary physics-animated monsters, cursed relics and other artefacts!

Film as many scary things as possible before you run out of oxygen, camera battery or friends…

If you survive, you need to get back in the diving bell to transport you and the remaining members of your team to the surface.

Upload your chaotic footage to SpöökTube, settle in for a watch party, and wait for the views to tick up!

Every run goes on for 3 days, the more scary stuff you film, the more you go viral. The ad revenue from your SpöökTube videos enables you to upgrade your gear to film better videos and survive more easily in the Old World.

If your team accumulates enough views in three days - you get to keep going with your SpöökTube Career and live a life of fame and fortune!

You can also sign up for sponsorship deals to earn MC to purchase island upgrades and hats!

  • 2-4 player online coop
  • Voice chat
  • ASCII face customisation
  • Make and save in-game recordings

Content Warning: A Wholesome Twist on Co-op Horror Content Warning is the new Lethal Company, but with a genuinely wholesome twist. It's a co-op horror game that has come out of nowhere, offering a scrappy and hilarious experience. What sets it apart is its unexpected wholesomeness. My second game was perfect and heartwarming. You start in what looks like a children’s TV house, surrounded by blue skies, green grass, and sunshine. With three other players—friends or strangers—you have one mission: film something scary. Equipped with flashlights and a video camera, you head into the garden where a huge black diving bell awaits. You get in, close the door, and begin your descent into an underground cavern filled with twisted metal and dark rooms. In my first game, I spawned with three delightful strangers who brought a sense of camaraderie. One player naturally took the leading role, guiding us with charm and humor. Me and another player were both lost as heck and we had one guy who was somewhat competent handle the camera. We became a team, working together and forgiving each other’s mistakes, people were patient and understanding. This holds promise, no toxicity to new players on my first game? Very cool. Down in the cavern, the dynamic shifted. We weren’t just looting; we were making a video. Each player took on roles: the camera guy framed the shots and warned about tape running low, One guy spotted potential scares, and the leading player was our charismatic point man. Even when a giant spider emerged from the darkness and killed two of us, we laughed and kept filming. It was horrific but all the more so comedic. We made it back to the surface, loaded our film, and watched it on a TV in the house. We laughed and reminisced about the absurdity of our adventure. The loop involves cashing in the film, hoping to go viral, and using your earnings to buy quirky items for the next dive. Our leading friend even had provided some narrative flair to our video before showing me the clapper. That dumb little item made me shine and get all giddy, it was something so simple. yet I am so easily entertained. This game’s charm lies in its ability to turn strangers into a team, making something together rather than just looting. It’s genuinely wholesome, generating a feeling that you’re briefly not strangers at all. Maybe horror and larking about are universal languages. All I know is that my perfect second game left me wanting more, even though I may never see...
