About Control Ultimate Edition

About this game

Developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by 505 Games

The mystery is the name of the game in this third-person action shooter. Take the role of Jesse Faden, who has found herself in charge of a mysterious government organisation and tasked with fighting off the supernatural entities that have usurped the halls of their headquarters.

Battle the Unexplained

In navigating the winding halls of the Oldest House, Jesse will find herself face-to-face with all manner of mysterious foes and reality-defying creatures. Learn more about the elusive entity known only as the ‘Hiss’, as you undo the carnage it has wreaked upon the facility.

Learn New Powers

To defeat the impossible, you must become the impossible. Various skill trees and unlockable abilities allow you to tailor your playstyle to your liking. Master the power of flight and telekinetically turn any nearby item into deadly a weapon as you hurl all manner of objects at anything that stands in your way.

Includes DLC

Control Ultimate Edition also includes two pieces of DLC content; The Foundation and AWE. The Foundation has Jesse exploring a large cavernous ruin that has been found beneath the Oldest House. AWE is a crossover story between Control and Alan Wake, and includes the eponymous character himself in a gripping story spanning both of the games.

A fantastic narrative that is packed with well designed mechanics, intelligent AI and the graphics that immerse the player in a well-written story. Honestly can't believe this isn't a show on Netflix or Amazon. Doesn't hurt that I was able to snag the ultimate edition on Fanatical for 9.99! Beat everyone's prices. So! Awesome Price, Awesome Graphics, Awesome Gameplay and Awesome Graphics.

First impression - creepy. For some time while playing I tough it was a horror game, but apparently, it is not. Overall I like it. Didn't finish it but the story is good and the gameplay is nice as well. Sadly my 1060 is not the best GPU to play on higher settings which is sad cuz I can see how good this game could look when played on a higher-end GPU. :(

This is an atmospheric game. It's a looker and a sounder (the ambience is beautiful, sound, music cues, it's just spot on). While I personally never found any character in Remedy games more likable than Mr. Wake, I don't feel bugged by Jesse. Not as much as by almost the entire Quantum-Break-cast which just oozed Hollywood-by-numbers. An intricate web of information and details is woven. The narrative feels right. Timing wise, content wise. It's presented beautifully. There's a certain colour curve and grain over everything, that lends itself fittingly to the 60-70's-ish interior and feel of the Bureau. Gunplay feels quick and responsive, there's lots of physical game mechanics that are rally fun to learn and use. Feels very potent. Highly recommended. Get on it, you

I got this as action game, but I realized that it is more than that. The environment is limiting; just one building, but the building actually "shift", so it is not made of the same rooms but sometimes goes totally bonkers with weird structures that remind me a lot of Tron (polished cubes with a red hue as lighting; very surreal). During the normal office part, everything look great and the fact you are alone, beside the janitor (the best character in game probably; no spoilers) is really giving you that feeling of suspense. Graphics are amazing, especially if you have a RTX card that can do raytracing, without bog down your system; otherwise don't bother with RTX and just play the game with standard graphics, it look great like that too. The story is weird, the enemies are really unsettling (although it does not reach the peak like in Silent hill games for example); and if you play in a dark room with headphones it is really moody and scary at times. Sounds are awesome, especially the bits of audio recording you find in the building, which tell you more of the story of this building and the people working in it. The campaign is quite long and will give you a lot of hours of fun.
