Awesome multiplayer game!

Bought 2 copies to play with my young adult son. There aren't many games we can both play together since he prefers FPS and action, while my old reflexes and poor coordination can't play those games. We have both had a blast with Core Keeper and I can't wait to see how this game further develops. We're already having tons of fun exploring, while I focus more on crafting, base building, and farming, while he's been chasing down bosses. I bought this based on other reviews stating it was a combination of minecraft, terraria, and stardew valley. And I think that's a reasonably apt way to describe this game, but also feel it's more than just that combination. With it still in early access and so I'm not sure what the final product will be, to this point I whole-heartedly recommend this and I look forward to seeing what's to come.

Solid survival/crafting game with an active dev team that just keeps on making it better.

This is a great entry into the survival/crafting genre. In some ways, it feels similar to other games like Terraria, but it also has a slightly larger story element. The gameplay is great, especially with multiple players. The best part, though, is the dev team. They've been super active with the community and regularly update in-game systems based on community feedback. In the 3 months I've played, they've already revamped the repair system twice, each time bringing excellent improvements. The devs have also announced a lot of upcoming content that I can't wait to play. As it stands, the game is fantastic and it only looks to get better from here.

As a big fan of games like Stardew Valley, Graveyard Keeper and Terraria, this game instantly appealed to me. I was not disappointed. The gameplay, crafting, combat and farming are all great and easy to learn. Little things like digging a trench to bring water from a river close to your base was something i had to look up in a guide but who cares. I bought it for my 7 year old son for us to play together. Much better with friends. Definitely recommend.

So worth the money!

Absolutely brilliant! If “Terraria” is what you get when you cross Minecraft with a Metroidvania, then “Core Keeper” is the melding of Minecraft with a Zelda clone. And for an “early access” title it has an amazing amount of content (which is being actively expanded) - not to mention the price… you just can’t go wrong with this one.

Though still in early access, this game feels very polished and feature complete. I went in blind so I didn't know what to expected and was pleasantly surprised by the boss encounters, depth of the gearing system and talent trees. There are different gear sets in the game that allow for things like range builds, melee builds, crit builds, attack speed builds, explosive builds, etc.. Farming is satisfying enough and quite important when paired with cooking. I hardly touched fishing, there really wasn't much of an incentive to bother with it and the bit I did seemed tedious. Building was also a bit disappointing in that there wasn't much need to outside of cosmetic reasons. It would have been nice if you needed to build a well guarded base to defend against monster attacks. All in all this was one of the best value games I've purchased as far as cost/hours played in a long time.

Fun game, hope it gets plenty of updates over time to really flesh it out.

Pretty fun. A bit short but it's still in Early Access so that will probably change in the future. Playable solo but can feela bit monotone and slow if you go at it alone.

The developers clearly put a lot of care into this game. It’s quite stable and polished for an early access game which is very promising for what’s to come. As for the game itself, it feels fresh while pleasantly reminiscent of the best of the crafting and survival games that we’ve all sunk endless hours into. A great deal at early access pricing — if it’s also on sale it’s a steal. (Also runs perfectly on Steam Deck!)
