Beautiful retro graphics and interesting gameplay. Nothing I usually play to be honest but it caught my interest for some reason.
The levels are challenging and a joy to play. They are fair and really make you feel some process in your abilities. I can see why people like the game, I had fun for a bit but ultimately the game didn't make want to finsih it.

The game overall was a fun experience. I enjoy movement based games, so as soon as I saw the trailer and noticed the price, I bought it. I almost 100% the game including the DLC in around 12 hours. The game has a decent amount of content, but that really depends on you, and your way of gaming for example I wanted to get the best medal on every stage, so the game took me longer.

Grappling hook fun times. A fairly simple and straight forward game. Few different abilities. Interesting graphics and pretty smooth gameplay. Designed to encourage retries for better times on the levels; its pretty effective in that regard. Makes you wanna try that level one more time to get that 1 second faster run.

Supportive community and active developer (as of Jan 2022). Many key options (such as FOV and screenshake) are in the SPEEDRUN options menu and should be adjusted prior to playing.

This game is what I’ve been looking for for a long time. I always loved that flash game Hang because of how wacky the physics were, and now being able to play a game akin to it in 3D is amazing. Especially with how beautiful the visuals are.
The controls are amazing. You can reconfigure them too if you dislike them. Moving around feels awesome and there are many hidden techniques the game doesn’t teach you, like wall-running and using your hook on the floor to accelerate faster.
The level design is mostly very good. Every so often one level that is extremely hard compared to the previous ones will appear, and at the same time one that is confusingly easy compared to the previous ones can appear.
Some people might not like the length of this game. There are only around 80-90 levels, and while there is a Steam Workshop very few people post there. A DLC is set to come out very soon though.
Each level has a leaderboard, but it will take a lot of practice to even make it to the top 50 based on how high the skill ceiling is.
I’d give it a 9/10, nothing wrong with the mechanics or look of the game but if it was a bit longer I think it would be a 10.

CyberHook is an innovative 3d platformer that challenges players to make creative use of all the abilities at their disposal. The goal of this game is to complete levels as quickly as you can and you can watch replays of how the fastest players are able to do each level.
The game is also runs very well, although this has a lot to do with the simplistic neon art design.
On the downside, there is no voice acting and the sound design/music is subpar. The story is also passable, but definitely not worth buying the game for.
