I bought this for a couple of reasons. I had read a positive review from a reviewer that I like and follow and it seemed interesting. Based on the trailer and the tags I also expected something sexier. Not anything 18+, adult, you know what, but some fairly innocent sexy girls and the like. I had played a few minutes, I don't remember where or how, a demo, trial or anything like that. But I had played a few minutes and liked it enough to go out of my way to buy it.
Not even 2 hours in and I'm already sick of it. I feel kinda duped by the trailer and the tag because the story is neither interesting nor sexy in any way. I thought is was more like a visual novel combined with some action/platforming gameplay but there's barely any story to speak of, focus is on gameplay. While the gameplay isn't bad per se, it's not very good either. There are simply much better games out there with better and smoother gameplay. It's not very intuitive. There's quite some backtracking and maybe it's just me but I couldn't make sense of the map a lot of the time so I was walking around aimlessly fighting the same monsters a lot.
Not a truly bad game by any stretch but it doesn't come recommended because there's so much better games out there that do everything this game does, more and better. There's nothing to set Dead or School apart.
