In Death end re;Quest, you'll take on the role of Arata Mizunashi — a video game programmer — who gets an email from Shina Ninomiya, a colleague and friend who went missing nearly a year ago. It turns out she has been stuck in the immersive virtual game they were creating, named World's Odyssey, ever since she went missing.

Haunting Codes

W.O.D. — the game they were creating together — had been halted in production due to the disappearance of Shina, and when Arata goes back to the code, he finds it riddled with bugs and that she has been the only active player.

No Escape

Despite his best efforts, Arata fails to extract Shina from W.O.D. due to a nefarious force that stops. In order to leave, she'll have to complete the game and unlock theperfect ending — an outcome with a success rate of 1%.

Meet the NPCs

Throughout their journey to the end of the game, Arata and Shina will meet a slew od NPCs that blur the lines between humanity and A.I. technology. This sets in motion a thrilling narrative that questions reality vs virtual worlds.

Back and Forth

In order to help Shina, you'll jump between reality and in-game as you investigate in the real world as Arata to solve the mystery, and fight glitched-out monsters as Shina. Just be careful because your decisions might get you a bad ending!
