About Dishonored

About this game

Dishonoured is an immersive first-person action game that casts you as a supernatural assassin driven by revenge, developed by Arkane Studios

Remain, Hidden,

You are put into the shoes of Corvo Attano, bodyguard to Emily Kaldwin, the young Empress of Dunwall. When Emily is kidnapped and Corvo is framed for her mother's murder, he becomes a justice seeker, hellbent on bringing those responsible to justice.

Play It Your Way

With a flexible combat system, you can creatively eliminate your targets as you combine the game's numerous supernatural abilities, weapons and gadgets at your disposal. Possessing rats and using them to swarm and devour your foes is just one gory option available to you – if that's not your style, there are many other ways to dispatch your enemies without resorting to violence.

Your Game, Your Rules

The choice is yours – will you be a ghost, unseen and unheard as you carry out your revenge? Or will you let your anger take hold, unleashing chaos on all those who stand in your way?

"It's a rare delight to play a game with such consistency of vision, its art design, level architecture, rulesets, storylines and writing all working in lockstep."

"A gorgeous, complex and slick assassination sim, with fascinating systems to play with and huge open levels to explore."

Game Informer

This game and storyline truly grabs you! I purchased on a whim and am so happy I did. After playing for maybe 10 minutes I rant to purchase Dishonored 2 as well. Great game!!!

I have played Dishonored before purchasing it on steam myself and completed a low chaos playthrough. Dishonored is a classic and the best in the series. The game has a dark atmosphere and compelling story. Some of the best stealth gameplay in the interesting, and it ties in together well with the light supernatural elements in the story. The graphics look somewhat dated by modern standards, but this is easily fixed with modding. Very highly recommend for anyone who wants a dark thriller with stealth gameplay, eldritch supernatural elements and a steampunk aesthetic. Especially since the game is so affordable nowadays.

Great game! Played it first not worried about killing, enjoyed the story and the game so much that I played it again in pacifist mode. Highly recommend playing both ways! Have fun

The best game of its kind. There's dozens of different ways to play the game and approach each problem, and almost anything you can imagine is possible. The levels are intricately designed and full of details. The story is simple, but easy to get invested in. It's a game that is easy to come back to time and again, without ever getting bored

Brilliant game! Amazing story and endless hours of discovery and gameplay. It's a little dated, sure, but it's still a blast.
