About this game

Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers - A Blackjack Roguelike Adventure

Begin your adventure in a tavern that is home to a very unique, corrupted version of blackjack you have never played before. You will need to pick up the rules and adapt to them as you progress through the tavern, challenging a colourful cast of blackjack-addicted townspeople.

Pick a suit: hearts for healing, spades to offer you some protection, diamonds for more currency for shop purchases, or clubs for extra damage. Remove cards from your deck as you progress. Pick up more aces and face cards, or fill your deck with tarot cards, business cards, birthday cards, hall passes and more!

Make your way through the tavern challenging patrons, purchasing additional cards for your deck, resting up when your health gets low, opening boosters packs, participating in minigames and much more! Take on the run-based deckbuilding roguelike challenge, with endless possibilities for unique and interesting decks!

Features

  • 4 unique play styles based around card suits
  • Unlock new starter decks when you complete runs, for a whole new way to play!
  • Over 250 unique cards!
  • 60 characters to defeat
  • Unique grimey pixel art aesthetic
  • All the degeneracy from a seedy casino but with no risk to your finances, mental health, or your loved ones

Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers: RNG taking Blackjack Goes Completely Off the Rails! Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers takes the simple idea of Blackjack and turns it into a chaotic little roguelike where you’re fighting bouncers, rats, necromancers, and whatever else the game decides to throw at you. You’re still trying to hit 21, but now every suit has a special effect, your health is the real thing on the line, and your deck slowly mutates into a pile of glitch cards, scratch cards, Tarot cards, and other nonsense that somehow works together. The health-based system is where things get fun. Winning isn’t enough—you want to win big. If an enemy busts, you can keep drawing cards anyway just to deal more damage, which leads to some tense moments where you’re deciding whether you want to risk blowing yourself up for a stronger hit. Then there are the advantage points, which let you supercharge certain cards on demand. That’s where the game really shines, because once your deck gets rolling you can pull off ridiculous combos that melt enemies who are cheating just as hard as you are. Every opponent has their own gimmick too. One dumps cursed cards on you, another messes with your score after you stand, and they all feel like they were designed to annoy you in the most entertaining ways. It’s fast, creative, and constantly surprising, though it definitely leans into chaos. Sometimes your run ends because you made a dumb decision, and sometimes it ends because the deck just decides you're not winning today. But when everything clicks, it’s a blast and way more addictive than you'd expect from something rooted in Blackjack. Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers is messy, clever, and weird in all the right ways—proof that you can take the most basic card game and stretch it into something wildly fun.
