About Elden Ring Deluxe Edition

About this game

ELDEN RING is an award-winning title even before its release; as the proud holder of 2020 and 2021's Most Anticipated Game title in The Game Awards and numerous others, along with a rating of 95 on Metacritic, ELDEN RING needs little introduction.

A title built by FromSoftware, explore the soulslike genre in a brand-new setting with ELDEN RING's innovative open-world map and FromSoftware's titular difficulty; fans of the soulslike genre should not miss this one. Along with that, the game's open-world setting gives for numerous entry points and works as a perfect candidate to get newcomers started on the infamous genre.

Explore the Lands Between

Ride atop Torrent — the brand-new steed and main form of travel — and relish on the Lands Between. Explore five unique regions, each filled with unique mobs to overcome, plenty of dungeons to venture into, and countless bosses to defeat. No matter where you look and what you do, the Lands Between has something for you to uncover.

Exciting Soulslike Combat

Experience FromSoftware's titular soulslike combat unlike never before. Charge head-on with heavy armour that is impenetrable to most blades, cast magic from afar, or even run in nearly naked; the options are endless. Choose from 10 different classes, each with intended builds that will offer a unique experience, and fight as a mage, a faith caster, a quick fighter, or a heavy brute; the choice is yours.

Fight Gargantuan Bosses

The Lands Between doesn't come without its perilous bosses famous to the soulslike franchise. Every corner is a potential arena, and you never know when you will encounter one of the 100+ bosses to face. Fight grafted monstrosities, dragons, and even the strongest FromSoftware boss yet — Malenia, Blade of Miquella. Each triumph is a glory to behold, and each encounter is as unique as the last.

Tackle Bosses with Friends or Battle Other Players

Join co-op parties to help other players face the toughest of bosses, or test your mettle against other players in ELDEN RING's co-op. Suffer the invasion of other players that will try to foil your experience and prove your worth against their blade; may the best Tarnished survive. The difficulty and fun never end with the game's co-op experience.

Enjoy Soulslike At Its Best

In the running for 2022's Game of the Year, ELDEN RING is the soulslike genre at its best. Great game that should be seriously discussed as game of the decade. The graphics, gameplay, soundtrack, are all 10/10. It could have a better story but that is not the focus like most dark souls games.

It's very good, some fps drop issue in some part of the game still, but nothing gamebreaking like week 1, we're about to hit dlc territory soon so it should only get better

Good, but bad.

The game is great and all, but insanely hard. I realize this is a FromSoftware game and that’s their bag, but it would be nice to have easy mode or something. I understand the “git gud” crowd will gatekeep the game by saying “it’s not for you” but a slider for difficulty doesn’t stop you from playing on normal. All in all the game is more enjoyable with mods if you don’t have hours upon hours to “git gud.”

Incredible, surprising return to form for FromSoft.

For people new to the genre of Soulsbornering, I would say this is the best place to start; never has a FromSoft game been so friendly to the user experience, WITHOUT compromising on the core appeals of the game in challenge and variety. For people who are already familiar with the series, Elden Ring has a lot of the DNA from Dark Souls 3 in how it's constructed, except this game does what is present in DS3 in a much better manner. Spells actually hit hard, all of the different diciplines feel usable, and all of them are given a greater amount of mechanically interesting spells, even if some are a bit fiddly. The open world design of 1 and 2 has returned like a rubberbanding kart-racer, and the world of Elden Ring has the freeform spark of 1 and 2 again, but with the emphasis on visual fidelity that 3, BB and Sekiro brought to the table. I would say this has both the sharpest visuals of the series, and some of the most striking aesthetics as well. Jumping and crouching has made the level designers at FromSoft froth at the mouth with Artistic Rage and the exploration has improved significantly as a result. Whilst not every corner and divot in the map has something to behold as a reward, they do their darnedest to seem like it. Ways to get around the map feel much more freeform in both the macro of field traversal and the micro of dungeon-crawling. These abilities enhance combat as well by allowing for extra moves that you can perform with every weapon, which is always a good thing. Another combat enhancement comes in the form of Posture, courtesy of Sekiro development experience; hit someone in general enough, or hard enough, and they'll be posture-broken, allowing for riposte and counter damage opportunities. Damn near everyone is vulnerable to a bad back. Ashes of War, formerly Weapon Arts, add special abilities to your weapon, and can be applied freely, at any time or place, to the majority of weapons. Most importantly, you actually might want to use them this time! They don't suck! In fact, they've been treated as nicely as the magic options, allowing for tons of mechanical variance, AND simultaneously serve to infuse your weapons with elements and scaling. Tasty. Horse. Goat-horse, rather. For a first shot at horseback combat, I feel like FromSoft just got it nearly completely right in one. Nimble, manoeuvrable, speedy, has a double jump, has a separate health pool that is healed both by his horse-berries AND your flask, and most importantly he...
