About Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition

About this game

Developed and published by Bethesda.

In Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition, the world has fallen into a deadly, barren state after the war culminated in nuclear bombs. Now, as the sole survivor from your vault — Vault 111 — you venture off into the wasteland to find out who took your son while you were in a sleep pod.

Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition comes with:

  • Base game
  • Fallout 4 Far Harbor
  • Fallout 4 Vault-Tec Workshop
  • Fallout 4 - Contraptions Workshop
  • Fallout 4 - Automatron
  • Fallout 4 - Wasteland Workshop
  • Fallout 4 - Nuka-World

Explore the Vast World

Fallout 4 offers a huge open world to explore, teeming with characters, quests, and locations to explore! Whether you spend your time killing ghouls and super mutants to steal their loot or you're off with one of the many factions finishing quests for them, you'll always have something to do!

It's All You!

Your character is yours to make! Create and customise them, from their gender and appearance to their S.P.E.C.I.A.L.! Choose their strengths and weaknesses, name them, and head off to experience their tragic story!

Perks and Skills

Aside from customising your vault dweller, you'll also gain experience throughout your time in the wastelands. These will give you some points you can spend on perks to even further customise yourself in this vast RPG!

Guns and Ammo

Whether you use a normal gun or a plasma one is up to you! Find all sorts of fun weapons scattered throughout these dangerous lands: from rifles and shot guns to plasma weapons, grenades, and missile launchers!

Friends Along the Way

During your journey in Fallout 4, you'll meet all kinds of characters. Some of them will be touched by your story and want to join you; you'll find robots, ghouls, and normal people will all be willing to lend you a hand!

And Then...

Maybe along the long, arduous journey, your companionship will become more than just adventuring! Some of the companions are romanceable, meaning you can make them yours!

Tourist Attraction

Although the bombs did away with most of the natural beauty of Earth, you'll still find some amazing things in this new place. Mutated animals, strange plants, glowing water, and tons of radioactive areas are all in store for you!

Look Out For Your People

Collect items throughout your journey to build up settlements for the people of the Commonwealth or even just to spruce up your home! From these seemingly random items, you'll make proper crafting materials to make anything from homes to weapons, armour, chemicals, and food!

Steam Deck

Last but not least, Fallout 4 is playable on the Steam Deck, meaning your journey through the wasteland never has to end!

*This game will redeem as Fallout 4 in your Steam library, however it will deliver the base game + DLC's

Fallout 4 is an action RPG/FPS and doesn't really remind you of the older Fallout titles, focusing more on the FPS element and gameplay along with building settlements and exploration, rather than RPG elements and character build or atmosphere. Still it is a competent title that follows the trend of Bethesda washing out complex mechanics that eventually make the game more boring than previous Fallout games.

Post-apocalyptic action RPGs don't come much better than the Fallout series, with Fallout 4 being one of the best, Winner of the BAFTA Games Award for Best Game, it'll be time well spent wandering across the Wastelands with this Steam key. Not only do you get the enjoyable core game, you'll also receive six additional DLC - what a deal!

Not a very good followup for the franchise, but still a serviceable game. That's the best way to put Fallout 4 in a short summary, and diving deep into its issues while in-game will just make you slowly lose your sanity. First of all, the story for the game is absurdly bad, at some points it can even feel like Borderlands writing without all the wacky humor. Then there's the dialogue system, it's really limited and makes you wish you were just playing even Fallout 3. Because atleast that game had dialogue choices. Afterwards, there's the game's balancing across the board. Some enemies are really weak, some are overly spongy, some are disappointing to fight, some are extremely annoying and repetitive, and to top it off, some weapons are completely and utterly useless compared to other weapons of the same type and in the same tier. Then it has some really bad design choices, like the fact you can't use Fist weapons while in power armor, ghouls spawning in scripted sections all over the game world, junk being overly heavy but requiring you to loot all of it (so you have to leave it all in some container as you explore and then return for it later), and so on. You can just keep going when it comes to bad things about Fallout 4. However, in the end, it's still a game you can actually play, the game performance is surprisingly amazing for a Bethesda game, it's not like Skyrim or other Bethesda games that chug your computer and crash easily. And this is why it's an absolute mod machine. If you've got the rig to handle Fallout 4 at 60 fps while at high graphics, then you totally should look into modding the game, because then you can fix (most of) the game's issues and make it more like what you could want. I'm already planning to make a heavily modded run with a custom race and major overhauls to re-experience the game in what's hopefully a much better style.

Good graphics, kind of annoying to go through some of the same dialogue at the beginning each time, the characters and story are enjoyable.
