About Fallout : New Vegas

About this game

Developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Bethesda.

Fallout: New Vegas is one of the most beloved entries of the franchise! And it's no wonder, as it has phenomenal RPG elements. Explore the enormous wasteland where you'll walk through what was once Nevada, California, Arizona, and Utah — from the colossal Hoover Dam all the way to Vegas.

Another Type Of Beauty

Although the terrain and landscapes aren't as beautiful as they once were before the nukes, there's still a lot of beauty if you look closely! And there's no surprise that not even the apocalypse could slow down Sin City. Venture off into the deserts and explore everything there is to see — there's no reason not to take a detour into one of the many towns!

War Never Changes

War and misunderstandings are in our nature, so naturally, despite the aftermath of war, there are still warring factions everywhere you look. As you journey through the wastes of what was once our beautiful Earth, you'll meet a colourful cast of characters that include everything from creatures to allies and foes!

Improvements!

There are many new additions in this entry of Fallout, such as the Companion Wheel, a Reputation System, and the aptly-titled Hardcore Mode!

Guns,

There are double the amount of weapons than in Fallout 3, and now you can also use the configuration system to tinker with them and add mods to customise your experience even further! This is a great opportunity to get some shooting practice in!

So, Where Do You Stand?

Fallout: New Vegas is a huge game, and you'll have the opportunity to choose whether you want to get involved in everything and take companions along or just go at it solo style! Your game, your choice.

Critic Reviews

84 / 100
"More wasteland to wander. New Vegas is good, but the failure to move the series on makes it feel a tiny bit stale."
90 / 100
"Despite the numerous bugs, New Vegas is a magnificent RPG, one that stands head and shoulders above its predecessor. More importantly, it's also the game that Fallout fans have...
90 / 100
"It's a game we've been wanting to play for more than a decade, a real modern re-imagining of the Fallout series, complete with that deliciously black humour. But it's also more...

This game is a masterpiece it is so fun, it can basically do whatever you want. You have unlimited stories and characters which are all awesome and fleshed out. VATS are a lot of fun. The gun play is really fun if a bit dumb.

A supposed classic all-time-favorite for many that I bounced off really hard! :(

I guess I was too late to the Fallout: New Vegas Party to enjoy it. I'm ok with the old graphic and genereally like games set in a post-apocalyptic world, but the rly horrible UI (no direct hotkeys for things like map, character stats or quests etc., the map uses only a tiny fraction of your screen...) on PC was a considerable obstacle for me to get started. Eventually, after like ~10h in, I gave up and uninstalled. Quests - at least those (at the start) that I witnessed - were nothing to write home about either. I decided to skip this and give The Outer Worlds a try instead, as it seems in a lot of ways to be the more modern incarnation of that kind of game (apart from the apocalyptic scenario).

Classic game, fun to replay after 10 years. Works great on Steam Deck. This game doesnt even need an HD reissue, as it's ageing incredibly well.
