I doubt that words will be able to explain how much I hated this game sometimes. 5 hours out of the 5.6 hours this game took from me were dreadfull and horrible. After 4 hours I was set on writing this solely with my middle finger...
While the ideas for both To the Moon and Finding Paradise are really really interesting, the game fails to move me in any way. The first Act is really repetative and you have absolutely no idea what is going on. The gameplay is okay though, not interesting but not frustratnig either. The only thing absolutely atrocious is the minigame you have to complete in oder to move on to the next memory. It was bad in To the Moon, it is worse in Finding Paradise. Second Act was the abolute WORST in any game I have ever played. The style changes completely and you understand even less of what it happening in the story. Weird cutscenes and old-style video game fights are thrown at you and you waste 30 minutes to an hour probably of clicking through whatever is going on on screen (comparable to the weird zombie shooting part in To the Moon). There were moments I just wanted to throw my laptop against the wall just to end it.
Act 3 was surprisingly pleasent, then for a change and I almost regreted wantig to give a negative review. The end and resolution were cool and well presented in cutscenes; the final moments in Colin's life were beautiful.
The game does not have content for 5-6 hours of gameplay, though. It really dragges on and results in boring repetetive mingames and weird content to add more time. The story could have been told in 2-3 hours. I personally often wanted to skip cutscenes or endless dialoges that did nothing really.
FInding paradise has a lot of potential and I somewhat get why people enjoyed it. But it failed to get me interested in Colin until the very end, I had no emotional connection to him, was annoyed by the repetitions and filled with hate by the horrible fighting sequences.
