For The King scratches a lot of disparate itches for me.
It has inventory and party management aspects in line with your typical RPGs, as well as a leveling system which determines, in part, some character stats. Much of that, though, is decentralized and dependent upon which items you equip. Stats such as magic damage can be independently increased through use of consumables, however.
Each run of this roguelike begins with you selecting 3 characters from pre-existing classes and fiddling with their appearance and other aspects. Every playthrough will progress differently based upon your luck, skill, and chosen difficulty. Playing on higher difficulty levels is high risk, high reward in the literal sense as your loot is of higher quality in general on higher difficulties.
