Have you ever played Harvest Moon or Stardew Valley and were disappointed at the lack of corpses? Well, the essence of Graveyard Keeper. You will do many of the same things like farming, fishing, cooking etc., however, you have the added responsibility of running a graveyard. There are a lot of unique characters to interact with, but I do wish that the interactions weren't always as structured. For instance, it would be fun to give random (non requested) items and see the reactions.
Exploration and experimentation is really fun in this game and there are a lot of morbid and wholesome (sort of) surprises. Initially, you can make progress fairly steadily. However, one you need blue coins the game can drag for a bit and become frustrating. It was worth sticking with it though.
Despite its shortcomings, there is an awful lot to like about this game especially if you are a fan of simulations and aren't particularly bothered by harvesting materials from dead bodies. If it were a movie, I would probably categorize it as a dark comedy. If you have a even just a little bit of morbid fascination within you, then, I recommend this game.

This is a neat different take on the farming-genre games. Think Stardew Valley but with dark humor. More fun, a lot of current humor.
Has a lot of the same game mechanics, lots of upkeep, with spare hours spent exploring something new.
On the cons side it could do a little better at explaining some of its mechanics, quite a bit of what-does-this-do that mixed with some intentional randomness to the design (+/- to organ removal for example) can lead to some confusion. Also, the humor is good, but a lot of it is rather current (the dlc are obvious nods to stranger things/GOT) not sure how it will stand up.
That said, a solid game, you'll want to keep playing, but get it on sale.

Game is pretty addicting so you can spend hours just doing simple stuff like fishing and taking care of your garden and cemetery. Only minus is the talent tree, since some things are way easier to achieve than others, so you might get stuck to grinding before you can progress in the story. However, game itself is joy enjoyable and there is so many things to do that this downside doesn't ruin the game.
