About Hell Let Loose

About this game

Developed by Black Matter Pty Ltd and published by Team17.

Hell Let Loose takes a different approach to World War II. Instead of a singleplayer campaign, players are thrown into a 50 vs 50 experience, where the comradery and chaos of war are emphasised. This game will demand teamwork and communication if you hope to not only win but also survive.

Experience History

Not only will you have the opportunity to participate in iconic battles of the Western Front — such as Omaha Beach, Foy, and Carentan, among others — but you will do so against a dynamically evolving front line. Not to mention the historical vehicles, weapons, and uniforms that serve to deepen the immersion!

Land of the Brave

In Hell Let Loose, you'll find over nine maps, all modelled on authentic reconnaissance images and satellite data, creating fantastic battlegrounds for epic warfares. You will fight across fields, bridges, forests, and even towns, each one offering an important resource that you will need to achieve victory.

Show Off Your Expertise

In Hell Let Loose, you can't rely on having a high kill count — you'll need actual skill to win these battles, as allies and foes alike will be dismembered by your bullets, and the ballistics and recoil patterns are true-to-life. In order to honour that skill, the game has player progression, which unlocks new uniforms, loadouts, and other customisation options that allow you to show off your experience.

Find Your Role

There are 14 unique roles in total that you can master, which include: Officer, Medic, Machinegunner, Commander, Crewman, and Sniper, among others.

Frequently Updated

Aside from everything Hell Let Loose already has to offer, the game is constantly updated, adding new maps, weapons, features, and fixes.

Amazing game! Played it for hours and hours straight with friends. 10/10 would recommend if you can handle dying (often).

Really good, but not for everyone.

This is a great game, but not for everyone. I discovered playing this that I’m more of a Battlefield guy, but I do appreciate what this game is trying to do. There was a bit much socializing with everyone for a reason in this strategical WW2 war “simulator”.

Reward Worth the Punishment
Verified purchase
This game is punishing and doesn't babysit the players. Getting a good squad together and shifting the way an entire battle is going, is so satisfying. Minimal HUD, count your own bullets, no bullet sponges. This game doesn't mess around, but that all translates to being a lot of fun. The set pieces for the maps are carefully crafted, so you can feel the developer really took their time on this one. If you are after a war shooter, give this a try.

Whilst i enjoyed it, it's hard to enjoy alone and without a mic. The game is a bit overhyped in my opinion. Maybe worth it with some friends.

Played it on PS5. If you like spending 30 minutes advancing from the spawn point towards the action, only to get 1-shot killed by a sniper too far away to see, it's a wonderful game. This game has such a high score because only people that like that sort of thing bought the game.

Love it and still enjoy playing it. My favorite class is the machine gunner and medic.

I really enjoy this gm with friends. It can get frustrating if you don't find the right class for you. If you don't go into this game thinking it is COD and you enjoy war games, you will love it.
