BECOME A LEGEND
You will be assembled into squads of up to four Helldivers and assigned strategic missions. Watch each other’s back – friendly fire is an unfortunate certainty of war, but victory without teamwork is impossible.

Rain down freedom from above, sneak through enemy territory, or grit your teeth and charge head-first into the jaws of combat. How you deliver liberty is your choice; you’ll have access to a wide array of explosive firepower, life-saving armour and battle-changing stratagems… the jewel in every Helldiver’s arsenal.

Super Earth recognises your hard work with valuable Requisition. Use it to access different rewards that benefit you, your squad, your destroyer ship and our overall war effort.
THREATS
Everything on every planet wants you dead. That’s what we’re dealing with. Each enemy has distinct and unpredictable characteristics, tactics, and behaviour – but they all fight ferociously and without fear or morality.
THE GALACTIC WAR

Sony pulling the rug under players
Verified purchase
PSN account required to play, which was not disclosed at the launch of the game. Sony is now changing their FAQ page to reflect the changes after making PSN mandatory to play PS games, which would make the release on steam redundant. Fanatical also refused to issue a refund since the purchase was months ago.
Sony knows people cannot refund due to over 2 hrs played or time has passed, so they are treating their playerbase like shit.

Do not buy the game here (actually or any games from now on)
Fanatical support told me to :
1. "simply create a free PSN account" not knowing that will not work
2. "Game functions as expected" when game will literally be unplayable after.
3. "Unable to refund due to age" despite it clearly being a technical issue.
If it was on Steam, it will be a no question asked refund after you mention the PSN issue regardless of play time.

This game was great. It had teamwork, factions, the ability to earn premium currency through playing the game, fairly quickly. It had depth. You had the option to link your PS account for cross-platform play.
You could literally save a homie with a shield backpack and a hug.
Until...
Now, by May 6th you have to link an active playstation account or be unable to play the game months after release. There are several countries that PS doesn’t support, and the majority those people who bought the game are unable to get a refund due to the amount of time the game was played. This is inexcusable.

Do not buy this game right now as a PSN account is mandatory even though it's not listed on here in Fanatical (they have also refused refunds due to age of the order). Steam has also delisted this game in countries where you can't make PSN accounts now.

It's the most fun I've had in a co-op game since the original. Even things which should be frustrating (like dying) are usually hilarious.
This game really shines when playing co-op with a friend (or friends if you have more than one) there are a lot of tactics involved if you want to go that route, or you can Leroy it into the fray and sometimes come out in tact, if you like that play style.
All in all, it's a brilliant game and I find myself thinking about it several times through the day.
