point-and-click game, you follow a story with random tasks all over the place. not a good story and you just keep clicking around with no real challenge.

Worst of the series, but still really good.

A bit of a grindfest compared to the previous (and subsequent) titles, but still good fun. At a certain point, you'll have enough resources to buy/make stuff easier, so it gets better. If you like the other games of the series, you will like this but if you are new to the game you'd better start from another one.

Hero of the Kingdom III has as many similarities as it has differences with the previous installments of the franchise. The heart and soul of what made the other 2 games great is still there. It is the best route a hidden object game could take to please even more people and not bore a second. In contrast with the previous 2, this one has constant respawning of resources because of the change in skills. It has gained levels in the rpg element making this an RPG-Hidden Object hybrid, which makes it unique. You start as a simple villager trying to help his village and with various tasks you gain levels in your skills either by battling monsters or by finding objects in the map (from mushrooms to quest items). You cannot clear everything at once as you require energy, proper level and other requirements that you have to craft (usually potions for a specific monster and food resources to get your energy up). Those or their ingredients for crafting can be found scattered around the world that you can travel by foot [recommended for gaining levels] or fast travel [very helpful for finding shops easier]. There is no constant in this game as even your equipment needs changing from time to time since weapons and shield breaks down with use. A big improvement with the differentiation of skills (it was more static and fixed in previous games as resources wouldn’t respawn) is the change in the resting places, camps. Now you can camp wherever you want in the map and not only at specific locations, even inside dungeons, thus backtracking less. The objects you need to find are also more visible and easier to spot making the experience more fun and less frustrating. Some may call the game grindy at times but this is not necessarily true. Yes, you need to level up but you are not forced to do everything to finish the game and with the quests you need to do, you’ll always be very close to the level you need especially if you travel on foot. Perhaps the only thing I would improve is multiple craft been made easier for less unnecessary clicks but it’s not a big deal. The ending is satisfactory as well as the plot but not as deep as the others and you get some extra quests after ending, making the game last from 10 to 15 hours for completing everything. On a technical aspect, you will find no bugs and it will only run smoothly. The music is relaxing and appropriate to the pace of the game, the colors are fitting and won’t annoy your eyes, the voices are good, the save...

Honestly I feel like this one is the best version of it's series. It has many systems on site that's very helpful (cooking, blacksmithing, potion making) Plus there's a leveling system for skills.

Fun game, a bit longer than the others. Lots of clicking and going back and forth. Fun casual game.

More than casual/less than cRPG

A solid, fun, if a bit grindy casual hidden object/adventure quest. Interesting package and fun enough for several hours of enjoyment.

Super chill game with no challenge, very relaxing

So happy to find this in a bundle!! I played the other two Hero of the Kingdom's and this one's just as great. The main draw to this series is definitely the charm, they have a lot of grinding involved but with satisfying results, lots of tasks, lots of optional discoveries/accomplishments, fun to 100%, and are each about 5-6hr long. The games don't really offer much in the way of challenge, the story isn't particularly unique, but it's just so darn endearing it doesn't really matter. If you want to just relax and play a chill game at your own pace, with no challenge or stress, this is the perfect game for you!
