About Hi-Fi Rush

About this game

Feel the beat as wannabe rockstar Chai and his ragtag team of allies rebel against an evil tech megacorp with raucous rhythm combat! From Tango Gameworks, the studio that brought you The Evil Within and Ghostwire: Tokyo (no, really) comes Hi-Fi RUSH, an all-new action game where the characters, world and combat stylishly sync to the music!

Chai Versus the World

Labeled ‘defective’ after a shady corporate experiment mistakenly fuses a music player to his heart, Chai must now fight for his freedom in a slick animated world where everything – platforming puzzles, enemy attacks and even the colorful gags & banter - are synced to the beat.

Open Up the Mosh Pit!

Take on armies of corporate drones (read: actual robots) in satisfying, rhythm-amplified combat. Time your moves to pull off flashy Beat Hits, hard-hitting special abilities and even combination attacks with your allies! Want to show off? Go further and tap into the beat to amp up your skills and earn those covetous S-rank scores.

Rowdy Rebels Vs. Badass Bosses

Lead a squad of colorful teammates and take the fight to the heart of an, er, heartless corporation. Square off with each department’s boss, from Production to Marketing to Finance, each more ready to protect the company’s bottom line than the last in over-the-top battle sequences accompanied by their own music tracks!

Grab Your Headphones

Tap your toes to a killer mixtape of original music, as well as songs by Nine Inch Nails, The Prodigy, The Joy Formidable and more! Want to show off your skills to a live streaming audience? Fret not: Hi-Fi RUSH includes a streamer-friendly alternate audio mode to keep you from broadcasting copyrighted music.

not bad~

Its really really good, unless you are bad at rhythm games. There arent any necessary cons per say but there are some neutral feedback that I would like to give. Would have given a 10/10 but everyone knows no game is 10/10 so this is about a 9. Pros: Good music, good solid game mechanics, rarely any bugs, a solid 20 hr gameplay for $25 (pricing is justified), characters are alright (unlike forspoken script writing), art is chef_kiss Neutral: MC is like Danny Phantom. Some ppl would be alright with his "character" while some dont. Some of the achievements are really impossible (unless you are planning to grind 60 hrs). Also apparently in streamer mode vs non streamer mode (this choice is given to you before you start the game), some songs are different from one another so yea (a good example is the first boss rekka theme music). Lastly there are some game mechanics that is completely useless so yea. Overall if you are good with rhythm games, give this a try. Solid game 9/10

I don't make reviews often, I think I only have 1-2 in my entire span of using this steam account; however I can not stress enough just how incredible this game is. In every way this game does something right: gameplay, characters, Story (while simple, executed well), art style, soundtrack, animation, optimization, replay ability, voice acting, the entire 9 yards. This game truly came out of left field, and I can not stress enough how much of a gem this game truly is. Easily, part of my top 10 games: no question. If you have even the slightest interest playing the game, buy it full price. Any way to support the Devs (let it be via the game or the deluxe edition) is the best way to go. Stop reading this review and go and buy it you dingus.

Game is great. Probably going to win a game of the year in at least the music catagory alone. Definitely not a 10 hour game, have sunk over 28 hours into it and haven't even done all the side content yet. Highly recommend.

A Clover-y Instant Classic Feels like a perfect fit amongst Viewtiful Joe, Ōkami, and God Hand. Engaging, funny, clever, well optimised, beautifully directed, and phenomenal sounding. Don't sleep on the Japanese dub, it will take you by Za Hando and show you Za Warudo...

Really fun throwbacky game, some of the controls are a bit janky (jumping especially) overall it's a fun experience with great design and characters and fun story

A fantastic blend of action and rhythm game. Extremely charming characters and dialogue, great choices of licensed music (final boss is Nine Inch Nails) with a streamer-friendly option if that's more your thing. Gameplay is fun and intuitive while still providing a decent challenge on higher difficulties.
