About Jack Move

About this game

Jack Move is a fresh take on turn-based Japanese-style RPGs. Promising a unique blend of gritty cyberpunk storytelling, turn-based battles, and beautiful modern pixel art.

Take on the role of Noa Solares: An up-and-coming vigilante hacker from Bright Town. When the overreaching mega-corporation Monomind, kidnaps Abner, her estranged father, Noa has no choice but to get him back, before it's too late. Why is Abner researching digitized consciousness? And what does Monomind want to do with it?

Noa won't be alone on her journey. She'll be helped out by her best friend and tactical planner, Ryder, as well as her Martini drinking uncle and ex-corporate spy, Guin Blakely.

Battle Noa’s foes in the unique single-party-member turn-based battle system, featuring beautiful animation and tactical gameplay.

Customize the software of your Cyber Deck to switch roles mid-battle, balancing offense, defense, and buffs. Choosing which software you load during battle is the key to victory! Hardware upgrades can help boost your stats, increase the amount of software you can install, or give Noa extra abilities.

  • Gorgeous “Hi-Bit” pixel art inspired by retro RPGs and enhanced with modern techniques.
  • Battle your foes in cyberspace. Take them down using a multitude of sweet hacking software.
  • Explore the dangerous world of Monocity One and takedown Monomind, the evil mega-corporation that controls it.

Great artstyle, great soundtrack. The combat is fun but the story is average and there's a lot of backtracking. Worth it if you like JRPGs.

A very average easy and short (about 6 hours) RPG. The best thing the game has going on is its gorgeous character art and fluid animations. The plot is boring and naive, the characters are dull and bland, the boss fights are a slog. Still, not a bad choice to spend a weekend on, just don't expect anything deep. Buy it on sale if you must.

For those who enjoy JRPGs with futuristic concepts, Jack Move is an excellent RPG The soundtrack uses almost synchronized beats, whether in the city or in battles, it's great to play with an electro theme and out of nowhere the music changes to a completely different beat The equipment part is all made for a deck, that is, you have to put a limited number of skills to execute and 3 hardware (which are the equipments) to have effects on the statuses, you can do a lot combinations. Furthermore, with 3 elements in the famous rock, paper and scissors. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get a promo or full price. 9.5/10

I haven't played much of it yet. Maybe about an hour or less into the game, but it definitely has a nice throwback to it. The roaming and gameplay reminds me of the Megaman Battle Network series, but the combat reminds me of a typical Turn-Based RPG. My only urk with the game so far is that the quest log doesn't really help much outside of giving general information. Like "Help this man find a coat" or "Go talk to so-and-so)". In this respect, it's A LOT like an old RPG from the NES/SNES days, where quests were slightly harder to navigate, since they didn't have waypoints. Aside from that, I'm happy with the game. It's a cute little gem, and I'm looking forward to playing the rest.
