Better Sandbox, worse Park Management Sim
Maps are fabulously varied and gorgeous; Dinosaurs look and sound (for the most part - looking at you spinosaurus) better than ever; customisation is comprehensive for both buildings and dinosaurs. Highly recommend sandbox mode!
Campaign, Chaos Theory and Challenge modes are a mixed bag: additional park management layers have been added in the form of scientists that makes any task a multi-step proccess that becomes quickly tedious and repetitive.
Challenge mode is about speed and efficiency which results in awful looking parks with uninteresting dinosaurs or good looking parks that are bankrupt/ took too long. Genetic modification has no real purpose since it's too expensive and time costly outside of sandbox and within sandbox there's little to no need for making dinosaurs more tolerant or less aggressive etc. Aviaries and lagoons suffer a similar fate despite being an anticipated feature - sandbox is where you get to enjoy them.

If you like jurrasic park, if you like park builder games, then buy this game. More challenging than the first, but the challenge is welcome as it gives the game more dynamic.
Visually its stunning with all the added dinosaur animations.

The enhanced graphics and dinosaur interactions are great, the little things really make them come alive!!! What disappoints me the most is the lack of control or how a click functions or doesn’t, the first game had these issues and they didn’t Improve it with this version. I still like that game, but controlling it is the worst!

After playing this game for couple hours i think im ready to give it a honest review. So lets start.
Pros:
-Better animations when compared to jwe1
-Better textures and models when compared to jwe1
-Marine reptiles (yay)
-Multiple improvements in terms of gameplay (time acceleration, more in depth management, -More customizable buildings)
-Better dino ai when compared to jwe1
-Egg incubation reworked which makes more sense considering jurassic park lore than the system we had in jwe1.
-Chaos theory gamemode, In my opinion its the true campaign of the game
-New skin and pattern system
Now lets move onto the cons
Cons:
-Animations and models glitching quite frequently
-Sometimes ranger team pathfinding is awful
-Micromanagement (i will go more in depth later)
-Sandbox mode needs a LOT of grinding in order to have everything unlocked
-Ranger outposts.... just why frontier
-Campaign is really short. Although the chaos theory mode more than makes up for it
