King's Bounty II

I want to tell people it is a lovely game, and highly underrated ! I was skeptical when I started playing this , because it didn`t look like my other KB games. I couldn`t use only "point and click" either, which made my former KB games so relaxing and fun to play on my laptop ( lazy mornings in bed, especially ! ) You can use keyboard and mouse in this game, too, but with a more buttons than you needed before. I prefer a controller here. And now, I absolutely love it ! I do understand why people who wanted a new Crossworlds don`t get it - but I see it as a whole new game, and I truly enjoy every moment ! It is different, and at first I did not recognize it as a KB , but that changes after some time - it definitely is . And a pretty , fun, relaxing, exciting game, with lovely music as always. Don`t listen to the angry disappointed voices - there are a lot of people like me who loves it. The positive : 1. The story . Actually very much like every other KB story ; Fantasy , and not very deep, but interesting so far , with surprises , heroes and villains, twists and turns. 2. Easy learning curve . The game is very gentle on you in the beginning, with few fights , and lots of social interacting and treasure hunting. ( Probably why some people thinks the game is too easy - but it sure is not ! ) 3. The fighting. It is different from former KB`s in some ways. The army you have is restricted to very few of each unit, and in stead of one unit representing all, they all show on the fighting arena . Also, terrain matters . When you get used to it, it`s fun ! , and you have to plan your tactics and army carefully. 4. Nice skill management - and here too, you need careful planning. You can change your choices whenever you like, and the first time is for free. If you choose to change them later, it will cost you. There are four categories of skill trees, and you have to meet certain requirements according to alignment and moral, to reach the skills you want . Which means you have to choose carefully what choices you make when doing quests. 5. Three main characters to choose from, and if you like ; And several different ways to play the game. 6. Lovely music, as always. 7. Very Pretty Colourful World , as always. 8. Relaxing in the way most turn-based tactical games are. Only, you are better off playing with a controller than your keyboard and mouse ( personal opinion, of course ). 9. Shopping ! are like in most RPG`s , they sell better and better stuff...

It was ok, bit different from other King's Bounty, however riding a horse is a chore on it's own.
