A very intriguing and chilling story, acted out in a 2d Shooter comic book style game.
Well done voice acting and scene settings make this game a pleasure to play. It has enough puzzle type elements that you don't feel like you're running and gunning. This game is worth playing for the story and visuals alone, not to mention the soundtrack.

This is a very unique game playing experience . The comic book asthetetic brings me back to the 80’s-90’s when I would read comic books. The game provides for two types of experiences 1) interactive play mode and 2) story only mode. In the interactive mode you get to play out some of the story whereas story mode is more like following along with a digital comic book. The entire game is voice acted which creates an immersive experience.
If you are looking for an action packed platformer or shooter, then this probably isn’t the game for you. But if you are looking for an interactive experience with a good story to just relax and play, say on your Steam Deck, then I recommend this game. In terms of gameplay, think games like Inside and Limbo. Liberated is not as deeply rooted in problem solving or puzzles as those two games are, but it has the same dark feel to it. Additionally it is that 2D style of game where your movements are restricted to left and right, jump and climb over things. It also has a twin stick shooter type of gun mechanic.
Overall this has been a fun experience and I recommend this game.

As long as you get it cheap (I'd say $2 or less) it's a fine game. The gameplay is very simplistic so think of it more like a slightly interactive comic book style visual novel.
