Could be scarier, in my opinion the first one was a little more spooky than this one, especially the butcher in the first one. Overall 8/10 game with the side scrollish kind of gameplay, always loved that style of gameplay.

400% scarier than the first. It's like they took everything unsettling about the first game and ramped up everything: the animations, the music, the ATMOSPHERE.
The pacing is phenomenal, giving you some room to breathe after shitting yourself, then dunks you right back into the action. The combat sections are a little fiddly at times, especially if you have a hard time with the depth perception, though. Still, 10/10 great game.
