The Lich has brought darkness and an apocalypse to the world. With reality obliterated, take control of the hero as they awaken in a small camp. Play through numerous loops of Loop Hero, gain cards to build new settlements, and restart all over again once you can no longer continue.
Infinite Loops
Select your character, with a selection of three classes, including the Warrior, Rogue, and Necromancer, and build your deck before you set out on a randomly-generated loop path!
Build the World
Start your expedition and go on numerous loops as creatures spawn throughout your path. Get landscape cards, fill in the world with terrain and towns, including mountains, meadows, forests, and buildings, and gain various benefits according to the way you build them. Can you loop the path enough times to face the evil Lich?
Die and Start Again
Take resources back to the camp in order to upgrade it and make your future expeditions easier. Unlock new buildings, classes, and power-ups to ensure that you can advance more throughout your expedition and face the Lich — save the world.

Loop Hero is a pretty unique sort of game - a roguelike of sorts where you shape the dungeon instead of your hero's actions. After an unspecified magical cataclysm, a lone hero tries to piece together a destroyed world. He does so by walking in circles on a path as you drop around it "cards" that represent various area (such as buildings that give the hero bonuses or enemy spawn points). The game is all about striking the right balance - make things too hard and the hero will perish, keep them too easy and he will not build up enough EXP and equipment to face the final boss that appears after enough loops. Even if you lose, each run earns you some resources that you can use to build up your camp and gain further bonuses to try again with a better standing. It's an interesting mechanic. The game also has amazing pixel art and great music and sound design, which make the experience a lot more enjoyable. Overall, I'd recommend it - I don't know if it'll stay fresh long enough for me to finish it, but for now, it's been fun.
