About this game

A mysterious puzzle game...

Machinika Museum invites you to discover and solve puzzles rich in mystery! An original adventure combining hidden objects and an intriguing story inspired by the excellent old school puzzle game Myst and the more recent The Room and The House of Da Vinci.

In the distant future, finding machines from alien civilizations is not unusual, especially in a museum dedicated to them. Your job is to receive these devices and understand how to repair them.

But this time, something is different. You have not been given any information and this seems to be rather urgent... What are these machines? Who sent them? Why won't anyone give you any answers? You will have to find for yourself which secrets and stories are hidden behind these mechanisms.

Key features:

  • Mind-bending Puzzles: use your sharp logic skills and your sense of observation
  • Mysterious sci-fi atmosphere and story: there is so much you don't know yet...
  • Wonderful visuals, cryptic alien machines have never looked better
  • Intuitive and enjoyable controls. Why make it complicated?
  • 2 to 4 hours of gameplay and mystery

The player gradually explores the mysterious devices and then uses some of them in further exploration. The game is neither difficult nor too long. Difficulty and length are, of course, entirely subjective, but the fact that I made it through without a hitch and everything was understandable is saying something. Could it be the quality design and intuitive controls? But be warned, sometimes you really need to think and look at things properly. + easy intuitive control + imaginative mechanics + no word puzzles + special adjustable screwdriver + 3D printer + endoscopic camera + acceptable game length of about 3 to 3.5 hours + the story should continue in the second part - textures could be sometimes a bit more detailed

The game is pretty short, beatable in less than 2 hours if you're decent at puzzles. It builds a servicable story about the puzzles in question, however the game isn't really a museum, which is probably the worst part about it. There is the fact that the puzzles can be a little unintuitive at times, but they're easy enough most of the time to be enjoyable, especially when you figure them out, and I'd fully recommend the game for anyone who can pick it up for cheap.

Interesting mechanical puzzles. Not always enough clues to solve each puzzle. Some were more difficult than others. Enjoyable four hours of game play.

This is a fantastic game. Although short, it has a great story and good replayability. The puzzles are logical and not too hard to solve. There's no help system but it's not needed. The graphic details are fantastic, and the game plays quite smoothly even on my old video card. The background music could perhaps be improved a bit, but it complements the actions quite well and is sufficient as is. I am really looking forward to the sequel.

A short object puzzle game inspired by "The Room" series.

This feels like "The Room" series alright but less grandiose. It's also quite short and still has a few unsquashed bugs. I especially like the sci-fi theme and hoping part 2 will have much better looking 3D models & textures plus maybe a more original soundscape to set the game apart. I can better recommend this one if the price is discounted at 80-85% off.

I really liked this game. It is quite short (90 minutes for me), but offers excellent puzzle gameplay very similar to "The Room". I am looking forward to the sequel!
