About this game

Get the definitive MGSV experience with both METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES and METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN included, as well as all available DLC!

Experience two Steam PC games from one of the most popular action-adventure stealth franchises to date with METAL GEAR SOLID V: The Definitive Experience. With this Steam key, players will play as the legendary ‘Snake’ through a series of challenging missions and bizarre boss fights – while using stealth tactics and new-age gadgets to take on enemies.

METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES

Set in the 1970s, prologue Metal Gear Solid V: GROUND ZEROES sees players guide Snake (Big Boss) through an American black site in Cuba, in order to rescue Cipher agent Paz Ortega Andrade and former Sandinista child soldier Ricardo Valenciano Libre.

Featuring real-time day and night cycle, a revamped threat detection system, radical new game design and unparalleled style of presentation – players will have to analyze guard movement patterns and stealthily infiltrate the base to avoid against-the-odds gun fights.

METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

Once you’ve mastered the art of stealth in Ground Zeroes, it’s time to venture into 1980s Afghanistan as ‘Venom Snake’ in the expanded world of METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN. Ushering in a new era for the franchise with cutting-edge technology powered by the Fox Engine, THE PHANTOM PAIN provides players with a first-rate gaming experience with tactical freedom in open-world missions.

Set nine years after the events of GROUND ZEROES and the fall of Mother Base, Snake (now using the codename Venom Snake) awakes from a coma during The Cold War as nuclear weapons continue to shape a global crisis. In an act of revenge, Snake must create his new private army and pursue the shadow group, XOF.

I encourage everyone to get METAL GEAR SOLID V. You will love it but you have to invest time in it.

METAL GEAR SOLID V is great game. I don't know why I didn't pick it up sooner. The way you can approach every mission, equipment you can use is just marvelous. Create your base with people, animals and equipment you can send to your base. Great idea. You can be silent or create chaos everywhere you go. I just got in love with it. I encourage everyone to check it for yourself. It's worth your time.

MGS V is one of the best games from a great year of gaming. If it's on sale, the game is a must buy.

Metal Gear Solid V is even better than I remember playing it the first time around. It's a shame that I neglected to keep playing it because 2015 was an astounding year for video games which saw the releases of The Witcher III, Dying Light, Fallout 4, Arkham Knight, etc. Having first played each of these games on consoles and revisiting them on PC, I would say it's the second-best game of that group under The Witcher III. It used to be my least favorite MGS game because of its overwhelming length, and I'll admit the story does drag, but in typical Metal Gear fashion, I was confused but very attentive. Any time the main antagonist appeared, my focus was entirely on the game. There were a couple of times when I wanted to do six or seven missions in one sitting. The world is beautiful, and the game gets progressively more challenging as it goes on. A handful of missions are brutal, especially near the end, but they actually end up being the ones that are the most satisfying to complete. I always see MGS V: The Definitive Experience on the 'top sellers' section during Fanatical sales for about $5-6, which is a no-brainer. The game has earned critical acclaim and high sales, and it's a rare one that I would recommend to anyone from bundles, sales, or full-price because it's worth playing.

Amazing open world game with a lot to do. The only downfall for me is that the game fail to deliver on boss battles compared to the other MGS games. A must play game.

After four hours of playing I highly recommend this game in terms of gameplay. Controlling Venom Snake feels snappy and responsive and because of it I can successfully make on the spot decisions without fail (that's a lie I sometimes fail). The enemy AI are intelligent and challenging enough to keep me on my toes while still having enough freedom to mess with sandbox elements and just general mucking about. If there is one nit-pick I have is that the base building aspect of the game is something I don't put much attention to yet, especially in regards to the soldiers I hired/kidnapped. So far, I recommend Metal Gear Solid V.

Has its faults like a not great ending to the story missions but still a fun experiance. The side ops are well worth doing for a bit more of gameplay after completing the story.
