Metro 2033 Redux is the definitive version of the cult classic Metro 2033 — a thrilling FPS adventure through an apocalyptic Russia, where a war has left humanity living underground in the Metro.
In 2013, a horrible war broke out that ended in the devastation of our planet and the annihilation of nearly the entirety of humanity. Now, what we once knew as a healthy and beautiful green Earth is now a poisonous wasteland, crawling with danger. Humanity is now plunged into a new Dark Age.
It's been 20 years since the bombs destroyed everything, and an entire generation was born and raised underground. Life has been difficult between the poisonous new world, mutated beasts, and even a civil war. You take the role of Atryom, who was born before the new Dark Age but raised underground.
After a fateful event sparks a desperate mission, you'll need to strap on your gasmask, grab your hand-made weapons, and venture off into the apocalyptic Russian landscape.
Whether you're a fan or a newcomer, you'll find upgraded graphics in the Metro 2033 Redux, as the game has been rebuilt and now offers even better graphics, with incredible lighting, physics, and dynamic weather effects.
In addition to the graphic rehaul, the gameplay has been improved, and features from the acclaimed Metro: Last Light have been transferred into Metro 2033 Redux, including superior AI, controls, animation, weapon handling, and much more!
Two new playstyles and the new Legendary Ranger Mide have been included to offer a challenge to those looking for one. Whether you want a slow-burn survival horror in Spartan Mode or to tackle the game with the combat skills of a true ranger in Survival Mode, you'll find the right amount of challenge. But are you up to the Ranger Mode challenge? No HUD or UI, and deadlier enemies with fewer resources... it's the most hardcore mode you can get.
