About Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

About this game

Developed by TaleWorlds Entertainment and published by Paradox Interactive.

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is a strategy game and sequel to the 2010 game Mount & Blade: Warband.

Started from the bottom

In Bannerlord, you'll take control of a simple mercenary, and it is through your own actions that you can grow to become worthy of the title of lady or lord... or, perhaps, even become the ruler of an entire empire.

Set many years ago

In this entry, the events of the story are happening 210 years before Mount & Blade: Warband, meaning you'll witness the decline of the Calradic Empire.

Immersive battles

During battles, you'll experience a unique blend of real-time and turn-based strategic gameplay, which allows for large-scale battles as well as skirmishes.

Words have power

But battling is not your only option, as in Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, you'll have plenty of opportunities for diplomacy, including trade! After all, not every good leader has to think like a warrior.

I'm spending too much time on this game. I'm too involved. I'm afraid I might lose my job. That's okay. Jobs are temporary. The cavalry charge is eternal, brothers.

This is honestly a great game, but it does lack some features as it is in early access. But it retains a lot of core features; become a warlord, raise troops, do quests, and build your empire. There is a huge amount of modding potential that's coming in the 3-4 years ahead, and the game is still worth getting no matter what. Unlimited possibilities!

I loved Mount and Blade Warband and the entire M&B series. This game is continuing the tradition in a grand style.

Fun addicting game, create your own goals and take over the entire continent. There is a campaign, but I did not care much about it. Epic battles even though AI sometimes is dumb. You can also skip battles and play it more like a strategy game if you want.

Good game worth the purchase, just don't expect an updated 1:1 clone of Warband.

Great Game.

Although currently missing some features I liked from Warband, it has gained some other features, and overall I still think it's worth a buy. Combat is great, the world looks nice, battles can be huge if you meet recommended specs, there are a fair amount of quests, a new type of renown system with ranking up, and already a good variety of mods available to fix any issues you may have, for example, I'm running the Fourberie mod which improves some bandit style gameplay, though there are more I'll try in due time, I'm just trying not to stray to far from vanilla atm so I can determine what to improve upon with future games.

Great Game if you're into medieval stuff and/or battle strategy stuff. First game I've come across that allows you to both strategize and participate in battles

It is a pretty fun game! I enjoy how the siege battles tend to get heated rather quickly where it gives me war movie-vibes.
