Great game with good characters and a interesting plot. The main mechanic is weird at the beginning but then is adictive.

The game looks very tempting from the titles but the more you play it the more bored you become. Boring dialogues, click click click... It's more like a clicker than a visual game. Anyway it may be liked by someone.

I adore Murder by Numbers so much that I bought it twice, once on Switch then again on Steam. The story is intriguing and the characters are full of life. I wanted it initially for the puzzles, usually not being interested in story games, but this won me over. The puzzles that you unlock in freeplay are also really fun too, and they really do ramp up in difficulty fairly quickly compared to other similar games, which makes for a fun challenge.

A very nice looking game with great accompanying music. The stories and puzzles are fun to look at and play through, while the characters and general concept are well-executed. Great game that I played through multiple times to unlock everything that I could

I am not a huge fan of visual novels and have avoided them until now but Murder by Number intruiged me. I liked the puzzle aspect and really enjoyed how they were inplemented in the story. 3 of the 4 cases you have to play through were really well done and fun, the last one dragged on a bit too long for my taste. The overall story was nice and I enjoyed it a lot!

As much as I love nonagrams and visual novels, the game is a bit lacking when it comes to filling delivering on mixing the two. The story and the characters are very good, and the writing is solid, but the nature of a nonagram puzzle completely crushes the pacing, not to mention is takes a long time before the truly satisfying puzzles get introduced. Great idea on paper, but there is a reason why every other Picross game is just a collection of puzzles.

The genre mix works, assuming you're a nonogram nut.

Pretty fun for those who enjoy nonogram/Picross puzzles. The puzzles were well-made (I have played plenty of nonogram games where almost all the puzzles were super symmetrical and thus way too easy), though they did break up the flow of the story a bit too much. There were times when I just wanted to find out what would happen next, but I had to do 3 or 4 nonograms first to get any further. It's an odd genre mix, but both genres are suited pretty well to a chill, slow and steady kind of playstyle, so I think it works.
