As someone who never played the first two games, but did grow up on the Tony Hawk games, I absolutely love this game! The art style is cheery and vibrant, the music is boppin' and relaxing, the whole game just has a very zen and chill vibe. Not to say it's always so chill! Each level has 3 challenges to complete, such as "do X kind of trick in X spot" or "complete X and finish the level without crashing", some of which can be quite dastardly! There's even side quest type maps, one such map you race a bear in an inner tube. Took me like 30 tries to beat that dang bear! But restarting a level is as quick and easy as pressing 1 button, so the frustration never really builds too much. You perform tricks with the analog sticks (there is no keyboard support so far) and the general game-feel is super tight and responsive, and the mechanics are surprisingly deep. Between the fast and addicting gameplay, the constant stream of cosmetic unlocks for your skater, and the whimsical nature of Olliolli World, you'll find yourself saying "just one more" until the wee hours of the night. A must play for anybody interested in the genre!

Fun enjoyable game that is also local co-op, what more can you ask for??? Gameplay is sharp and tight, graphics are excellent, will take awhile to master the 100+ moves you can do on your board. Haven't played multiplayer yet, but looking forward to trying it out. Thanks to Fanatical for the much lower price than Steam had, which allowed me to get the base game and the expansion pass for less than just the base game on Steam. Go Fanatical!!!
