About Operation: Tango

About this game

Developed and published by Clever Plays.

Operation: Tango is a cooperative-only title in which you and a friend will play as Angel and Alistair — Agent and Hacker — in a nearby high-tech future with only voice communication to aid you in working together; it only takes two agents to save the world!

Work Together

Invite a friend to embark on a quest with Operation: Tango, as one of you will play the Agent, and the other will play the Hacker! Built with communication in mind, you'll need to relay all of the information to your co-op partner in order to complete these missions — you cannot finish this quest alone.

Espionage-themed Gameplay

Work together as the on-field Agent and Hacker to break into the most heavily-secured areas in the world! Live out your ultimate "Hollywood" spy fantasy as you work together to solve puzzles, hack, and bring down the villains!

A High-Tech World

Enjoy a world set in the near future with a focus on augmented reality. Witness technological marvels and exploit weaknesses in the system and programming to hack into them and use them to your advantage!

The Agent

Take control of Angel, the field Agent, as you explore the world of Operation: Tango on-foot and communicate to your fellow hacker any sort of information that could be pivotal for them on-ground.

The Hacker

Play as Alistair, the Hacker, as you aid your field agent to traverse the world by hacking into mainframes and opening up new opportunities. Teamwork will be crucial for the success of this mission.

Play Together!

Use the Operation: Tango Friend Pass to play with any friend whilst only having one Steam PC code! Only get one copy, and invite any friends you want to play with for free! Use the power of hyper-futuristic technology to invite your friends with cross-platform play!

I was SOOOOO hyped for this but ended up disappointed. Here's why: - 6 missions can be played in 3-4 hours, you can replay them as the other character for maybe 2-3 more hours - the challenge mode is horrible and absolutley no fun, even with doing the level quickly and with no mistakes we missed the gold mark by 15 seconds and just didn't care enough after that to grind even longer for a better score. - one of the characters is a lot less fun to play (hacker) - navigating as hacker is a pain, especially when you have to be quick about it - even though this game is all about communication, it lacks instructions (we often struggled with what we were meant to do even though we talked about what we were seeing etc), puts you under a lot of stress because many things happen at the same time/ you have to be quick/ have no idea what to do or where to get what you need). many "puzzles" are so unintuitive that they are just no fun to fingure out. even after completing some of them we didn't understand how we were supposed to know what to do. - this game was worse for my relationship than risk/ monopoly/ yugi-oh and mario kart combined, we ended up b*tching at each other because we were both so frustrated with the levels - some maps are designed quite well, other not so much. the train level is lovely, the deep dive almost made us quit completely The only good thing that i am taking from this game is that the "keep talking and nobody explodes" parts were fun and i will look into playing that game instead.
