About Party Hard

About this game

In Party Hard, you play as someone who is really tired of the neighbors having loud parties. Instead of calling the police, you decide it’s a better idea to kill everyone – using your faithful knife and the environment. The tactical strategy follows a series of killings at parties throughout the USA.

The developers used to work mostly on casual, family-friendly games - until they participated in a game jam, creating the first prototype for Party Hard. TinyBuild backed up the original developers – Pinokl Games – to create a full version that's now on Steam!

Party Hard has semi-procedural environments and focus on unique ways of killing people. In the greatest traditions of sneaking games, your main goal is not to get caught, while silently picking off unsuspecting victims one by one. Dancing and blending in during a suspicious situation is key.

  • A (not)serious story that follows a series of murders through the USA
  • 19 unique levels with random variations on each one
  • Use traps, cause explosions, become a ninja
  • Multiple unlock-able characters
  • Special random events, like a bear coming in and killing everyone for you
  • Trigger the DEA, SWAT cars, paramedics, firefighters to come in and ruin the party

5 PLAYABLE CHARACTERS!

  • The guy who wants to get some sleep
  • The ninja who is fast, stealthy, has a smoke bomb, but shouldn't be seen
  • The cop who can carry around bodies without suspicion, and frame other people
  • The girl who can knock people out
  • The butcher who has a chainsaw

PLAY THE GAME ON TWITCH AND LET YOUR VIEWERS IMPACT WHAT'S HAPPENING!

Yes, you can let your twitch viewers mess with you during Party Hard. They can trigger all sorts of chaos, like calling in more people to join the party, calling in SWAT, causing Sharknados, and more!

Party Hard's pixel art is quite charming, and its core concept is, let's admit it, pretty exciting. I mean, let he who has never dreamt of slaughtering his loud party-happy neighbors cast the first stone... So, yup, you'll spend a decent amount of hours killing people that wandered out of eye-sight and hiding their bodies in dumpsters, evading the occasional cop here and there and calling aliens or zombies now and again to spice things up. But in the first half of the game, something like 70% of all levels can basically be cleared out by just waiting in a dark corner for victims to stray your way, do your deed, rince (so to speak) and repeat... And, well, it's a game mechanic that overstays its welcome quickly enough, to be honest. I had fun for the first 10 hours, then just felt like I needed to move on to something else. Fair amount of fun for the price, which is why it would feel petty to give it a bad rating, but not something I'll ever find myself compelled to go back to.

This game has huge potential. They just squandered it by not building up on it especially on later levels. At first glance it seems like Hitman but 2d isometric, but once you get past the first couple levels, it's just a running simulator. There are traps to use on every level, a scant handful and next to no places to blend in or even hide. Your stamina is like a sumo wrestler running up a hill, everyone will outrun you. It was a chore to do the last few levels. If they made the levels more interesting with traps, disguises, and distractions, then I think this game would be amazing. As is though, I'd pass.

Addictive game with challenging missions and nice upbeat music.

Addictive game, challenging and with good replayability. Upbeat music, not exactly my jam but it's nice to hear. Good pixel art with a lot of funny pop culture references/cameos.

Difficult and Boring

Raziel

Very unforgiving. One wrong move and you have to start over. With a stealth game, this gets old really fast.

Fun little puzzler

Rinocapz

Nice puzzler with a killing twist. It never repeats it self, other than the use of levels. Other than some clunky mechanics, it was fun to play.

Sometimes violence is the answer

When your neighbour party is too loud and keeps you awake at night so you decide to go for a murder spree. Relatable 10/10
